An LED retrofit lamp is described. The LED retrofit lamp includes LEDs arranged into at least a first group of LEDs and a second group of LEDs, power contacts, an interface and a controller. The power contacts receive electrical power to operate the LEDs. The interface supplies control signals to operate one or more of the first group and the second group of LEDs. The controller receives the control signals and operates the first group of LEDs and the second group of LEDs independent from each other based on the received control signals.

Addressable LED retrofit for vehicle light

An LED retrofit signaling lamp is described herein. The lamp includes a lamp body, which includes a cap, a projection part, and a burner part between the cap and the projection part. Power contacts are exposed from the cap. A projection LED light source is provided in the projection part and angled to provide a projected image near to the vehicle when activated. A signaling LED light source is provided in the burner part angled to emit non-projected light via the projection part at angles that avoid the emitted light being blocked by the projection LED light source. The projection LED light source and the signaling LED light source are electrically coupled to the power contacts in parallel to each other.

An LED retrofit lamp for a projection headlight system comprises a heat dissipating body portion and a substantially rectangular substrate. A first LED group is mounted on a first surface of the substrate and a second LED group is mounted on a second surface. A support bracket is configured to engage longitudinal sides of the substrate to mechanically support the substrate in alignment with a central optical axis of the headlight system so that light emitted by the first and second LED groups parallel to the first and second surfaces illuminates corresponding top and bottom segments of a cooperating reflector with sufficient intensity for projection headlight system to form a beam having substantially homogenous light intensity.

An incandescent lamp for a vehicle headlight comprising a transparent vessel that encloses at least one filament and the vessel is at least partly covered with a coating. The coating comprises at least one pigment, which is arranged such that light emitted by the at least one filament and traversing the coating is transformed to transformed light. Efficient white lamp for vehicle headlight

A colored glass has a formula of R'0&#x2014;RO&#x2014;SiO, wherein R&#x2032; is an alkali metal element and R is an alkaline earth metal element. The colored glass comprises between 0.01 and 1% by weight of molybdenum expressed as MoOand between 0.01 and 2.5% by weight of sulfur expressed as SO. The colored glass further comprises between 7.8 and 14% by weight of potassium expressed as KO and between 0.68 and 5.42% by weight of sodium expressed as NaO. The sum of the concentrations of potassium and sodium expressed as KO and NaO is between 11 and 17% by weight.

The present invention relates to a light-transmitting substrate () which is at least provided with a light-absorbing coating (). The light-absorbing coating comprises stabilized pigments which are incorporated in a sol-gel matrix. The light absorbing coating comprises silica particles having a size between 5 and 100 nanometers and alumina particles having a size between 5 and 50 nanometers. The total volume concentration of pigments, silica and alumina particles in the light-absorbing coating is between 20 and 65 percent. The volume concentration of silica particles is between 5 and 40 percent and the volume concentration of alumina particles between 1 and 15 percent.
