Device for searching for defects on parts by endoscopy

A method adjusts the sensitivity of an image sensor, and includes: adjusting an integration duration of the image sensor between a minimum duration and an image frame duration, receiving from the image sensor a frame signal, and amplifying the frame signal by applying an adjusted amplification gain between different minimum and maximum gain values. For each frame of the frame signal, if an integration duration, calculated as a function of an average value of the frame signal, is comprised between the minimum duration and a maximum duration equal to several times the frame duration, the method establishes the integration duration at the integration duration calculated and maintains the amplification gain at a fixed value, otherwise it maintains the integration duration at the minimum or maximum duration and adjusts the amplification gain between the minimum and maximum values as a function of the average value.

A deviated distal viewing endoscope is disclosed, wherein the rotation of the probe rotation control ring controls the rotation of the endoscopic probe as well as the rotation of a rotating tube housed in the handle and in the distal end of which a deviator prism is housed; the rotation of a focusing control ring controls the translation of the ring that acts to house the ocular lens; and the rotation of the ring controls the translation of a first cylindrical mount housing an ocular lens; and the rotation of a viewing angle variation control ring controls the translation of a second cylindrical mount integral with a cylindrical maneuvering tube, a longitudinal displacement of which controlling the tilting of the deviator prism of the endoscope.

Deviated distal viewing endoscope

Rotary endoscope has a deflected distal sight. The endoscope includes a cylindrical handle. An endoscopic probe includes a distal optical deflector which introduces one-way inversion of an image of an object observed through a distal lateral lens port, a lens, and an optical image conveying system. The endoscopic probe has a proximal end which is accommodated in a distal part of the cylindrical handle, and is adapted to convey the image of the object observed along an optical axis to an ocular lens. An adjustment device moves the ocular lens in a controlled manner by an outer ring. The ocular lens is arranged in a median part of the cylindrical handle and is movable longitudinally along the optical axis. A one-way image rectifier is arranged in a proximal part of the cylindrical handle. The one-way image rectifier compensates for the one-way image inversion introduced by the distal optical deflector. A rotation device is movable in a controlled manner by an outer ring. The rotating device rotates, simultaneously and synchronously about the optical axis, each of the distal deflector and the one-way image rectifier. The proximal end of the endoscopic probe is coupled to the distal end of a cylindrical tube. Each of the endoscopic probe and the cylindrical tube is rotatable with respect to the cylindrical handle. The one-way image rectifier is arranged adjacent the proximal end of the cylindrical tube. The ocular lens is mounted in a cylindrical mount which is slidably and non-rotatably mounted in the median part of the cylindrical tube.

Endoscope

A video endoscopic probe has a distal terminal utilizing an objective, a color CCD sensor, and an electrical interface microcircuit. The probe utilizes a continuous bundle of optical fibers which is coupled to a light source. The probe also has a video processor coupled to an electrical interface microcircuit. This video processor is adapted to supply and synchronize electrical signals from the color CCD sensor, to process the electrical signal generated by said color CCD sensor, and to produce a video signal. The color video monitor is adapted to receive the video signal produced by the video processor. The probe also has a tubular probe coupled to the distal terminal and a control handle adapted to include the video processor and the color video monitor. A multiconductor electrical is used to couple the video processor to the electrical interface microcircuit. A regulated power supply is also used and is adapted to deliver stabilized direct current voltages for operating the video processor, video monitor, electrical interface microcircuit, and said color CCD sensor. An electrical cable is coupled to the video processor and is adapted to supply a direct current electrical voltage to said power supply. The power supply is adapted to output a direct current supply voltage through the electrical cable which is variable around a nominal value. A cylindrical piece is fixedly coupled to the control handle. The control handle is a hand-held handle having one end arranged to fixedly surround a cylindrical piece and the other end has an interface coupling. The cylindrical piece has a first longitudinal opening, adapted to pass the bundle of optical fibers, and a second longitudinal opening adapted to pass the electrical cable.
