A liner for a deflection yoke assembly for a CRT includes four substantially equally spaced inclined semicircular channel-like mounting studs, arranged about the circumference of a band-like ring about the front of the liner. Threaded sleeves are push mounted upon and ultrasonically welded to an associated mounting stud. Hollow alignment bolts are screwed into each threaded sleeve, and adjustably positioned relative to the cone of a CRT for aligning the yoke to its associated CRT.

Liner for deflection yoke

A deflection yoke liner for mounting deflection coils on a cathode ray tube; the liner has at least two interconnectable sections with interengaging snap fasteners in the form of a tab and block that position and fix together the liner sections. The tab has a stop or hook adjacent a distal end for clasping over the block. The block has an inlet groove for guiding the tab and thereby positioning the liner sections relative to one another. One of the groove and tab tapers inwardly and the other is complementary and tapers outwardly. Preferably the tapering sections of the groove and tab engage near a point of full abutment of the liner sections, by way of tapered shoulders at the proximal end of the tab and a narrowing inlet taper on the block. The liner sections are positively positioned as the tab is advanced in the groove until the hook snaps over the abutment upon bringing together the liner sections. The block can be discrete or formed by a continuous ridge. The block and the tab protrude axially above a surface of the flange, the tab width being oriented along a flange of the respective liner section. This mechanism gives an accurate and quick positioning of the supporting liner parts and finds use in deflection yokes for cathode ray tube displays.

Deflection yoke liner with interconnectable sections

A deflection yoke arrangement with geometry correction includes horizontal and vertical deflection coils for scanning a raster pattern on a phosphor screen of a cathode ray tube. A support housing suitable for positioning about the neck of the cathode ray tube contains the coils and has a front rim formed with a plurality of slots near the outer periphery. A plurality of brackets formed from magnetically permeable material are located in corresponding ones of the slots. Each bracket comprises two flat end sections joined to opposite sides of a flat central part at substantially right angles thereto. One of the flat end sections of each bracket collects magnetic flux generated by the coils and channels the flux via the central part to the other end section. The plurality of brackets shape the deflection magnetic field in the region about the front rim to provide the geometry correction.

Geometry correction device for cathode ray tubes

The present invention concerns a process for the centering of position and grasping of semi ferrites and the invention also proposes a centering device that comprises a table, the tray of which carries centering elements of the semi ferrite applied on the tray by V-shaped forms and a movable clip for grasping the semi ferrite once it has been centered, wherein the clip thus acts to memorize the position of the magnetic axis of the semi ferrite, especially for winding operations with a view to the manufacture of a television tube deflector.
