Composite nonwoven material through which liquid can pass at a high speed and having an excellent resistance to rewetting and fluffing. The material comprises at least one first layer ( ) of combed-type fibres and a second layer ( ) of combed-type fibres, the fibres of the first layer having a denier greater than that of the fibres of the second layer, the layers being joined to one another by needling. Application to absorbent sanitary articles.

Composite nonwoven material and its application to any absorbent article of hygiene

An absorbent garment for use in absorbing bodily fluids, having a front waist portion with front attachment means and a rear waist portion with rear attachment means, wherein the front and rear attachment means provide cooperating surfaces allowing attachment of said front and rear attachment means together, wherein the garment has a longitudinal axis extending substantially between mid-portions of the front and rear waist portions, and wherein the front attachment means extends transversely with respect to said longitudinal axis, wherein the front attachment means comprises separate attachment portions and at least one elastic section comprising elastic material, the attachment portions each being attached to said at least one elastic section such that movement of the attachment portions away from each other causes stretching of at least one elastic section.

Absorbent product having fastening means

A composite nonwoven material having two external layers, formed of body fluid permeable nonwoven material, between which is arranged a synthetic fiber lap which is permeable to body fluids. The external layers are assembled between each other by thermal fusion according to a pattern forming a network of points and a central area of perforations. The composite nonwoven material can be used to make absorbent hygienic articles.

Composite nonwoven material fabrication, process and application to absorbent hygienic articles

A disposable absorbent article of hygiene includes an absorbent pad disposed between an outer support sheet and an inner cover sheet and has two elasticized side flaps fastened to the cover sheet along the lengthwise edges of the article. Each flap is fastened to the cover sheet over the length of the article by a proximal portion of the flap positioned on an inner side of the absorbent pad, and is folded along the lengthwise direction. The flap is also fastened to the cover sheet in the folded state at end regions of the article so that a distal edge of the flap overlaps the proximal edge over the length of the article, and remains unattached in a region between the end regions to form a pouch.

Disposable absorbent article

A composite nonwoven material includes a layer made of a nonwoven material which is permeable to body fluids and a sheet of carded synthetic fibers permeable to body fluids. The carded fiber sheet is bonded to the nonwoven layer solely by needling. An absorbent article of hygiene also includes the composite nonwoven material.
