A device for wedging an adjustable removable seat vertically in a C-shaped slideway, the seat being secured to an underframe having a subassembly able to run in the C-shaped slideway, the subassembly including a catch collaborating with a return of the slideway, and a retaining hook able to collaborate with the return of the slideway when the seat is subjected to an impact energy, the device including a vertical journal mounted to rotate in a bearing of the underframe, a member for wedging in terms of vertical translation, connected in terms of rotation to a lower end of the journal and having, when viewed from above, a generally rectangular overall shape a shortest dimension of the rectangular shape being less than a width of a groove of the C-shaped slideway and a longest dimension of the rectangular shape being greater than the width of the groove, so as to be able, in a wedged position, to sit under the internal returns of the slideway, a spring constantly returning the wedging member to the wedged position, a pivoting means for pivoting the journal against action of a return spring of the journal into a position in which the wedging member can be engaged in the groove of the slideway, and a helical ramp, rotatable with the journal to collaborate with a fixed complementary bearing surface to move the wedging member vertically into contact with the return of the slideway.

A device for adjusting a double-jointed seatback by a single control. A seat pan structure is joined on at least one side to a convex toothed sector centered on a first joint. A seatback structure is joined to two arms that extend on either side of a housing. The arms are articulated on a second joint mounted upon the housing, and are joined to a concave toothed sector centered on the second joint. The housing contains an upper toothed locking plate and a lower toothed locking plate. Between the two locking plates, a pivoting cam connects to a single control device. The upper toothed locking plate is joined to a stop arm that extends in the housing towards a semicircular stop located on the lower toothed sector. The semicircular stop is provided to resist the unlocking of the locking plate except when the seatback is in the maximally advanced position.

A device for securing and adjusting the lengthwise position of a removable and reversible seat for a vehicle. The device includes a pair of C-shaped tracks secured to the floor of the vehicle with each track having an upper compartment and a lower compartment. The upper compartment of each track accommodates a slider that is connected to each leg of the seat of the vehicle and includes a locking device having teeth. The slider is displaceable relative to the track so that the slider can be manipulated between a locked position and an unlocked position. The lower compartment accommodates a plate having parallel rows of perforations that are engaged by the teeth of the locking device in the locked position and are released from engagement in the unlocked position. The configuration of the track and slider arrangement provide the device with a strong leg-slider connection as well as good resistance to tearing free from the floor of the vehicle in case of impact.

A safety fixture for a removable vehicle seat of the type having four legs, two front legs and two rear legs. Each leg is equipped with a mobile catch for being affixed to at least one of two transverse rods fixed in the front or rear floor well of a vehicle. Each front leg has a hook-shaped part that interacts with one of the two parallel transverse rods fixed in the front floor well. The catch for the font legs can be returned and unlocked. First and second hook-shaped parts are used simultaneously affix each rear leg to both transverse rods in the rear floor well of the vehicle. The first and second hook-shaped parts are formed on a front and rear catch, respectively. The front catch articulates at the front and toward the base of a common support. The front catch also includes a triangular heel delimited by an upper face stop for immobilizing the rear catch in the locked position and a rear face stop for immobilizing the front catch in the open position. The rear catch articulates proximate to the top and middle of the common support and includes a triangular protuberance. The protuberance is delimited by a front face stop for immobilizing the rear catch in the open position and a lower face stop for immobilizing the rear catch in the locked position.

The device relates to vehicle seats in which the backrest armature is composed of two uprights which are articulated with respect to the seat part armature about a first transverse horizontal pin in order to define various positions of comfort and about a second pin, parallel to the first one, in order to allow the backrest to be folded down onto the seat part, the latter articulation being associated with an unlockable immobilizing structure. For each upright, the first articulation with respect to the seat part armature is provided by a lever including, above its part that is journal-mounted on the first articulation pin, a tenon of rectangular section which fits into a central housing formed in the section piece constituting the corresponding upright, whereas in the second articulation, the pin is borne by the aforementioned tenon and interacts with at least one mounting plate which, arranged against the lever, is set tightly into the housing of the section piece to which it is fixed by riveting, this mounting plate having a lower end protruding beyond the upright and locally fitted with toothing designed to interact with complementary toothing borne by a mechanism for immobolizing the upright with respect to the lever.

A seat in which the backrest armature is composed of two uprights which, joined together by at least one crosspiece, are joined to the seat part armature by a fixed or articulated connection. The upright of the backrest armature secured to the guide ring for the strap of the seat belt consists of a section piece extruded in lightweight metal alloy, composed of a tubular body reinforced by latero-posterior longitudinal box sections, this tubular body receiving, in its region for fixing to a crosspiece, and by inter-fitting, an insert with a transverse bore which coincides with transverse bores formed in this upright, whereas each of the ends of the crosspiece passing through one or other of the uprights and the corresponding insert is connected to this upright in terms of translation by its end being knocked over against the outer face of the upright and by a circular ridge formed on it being pressed against the inner face of this upright, and is connected in terms of rotation by radial deformations forming notches and penetrating the corresponding insert.
