A tie includes a strap having two end segments connected by an extensible intermediate portion provided with a succession of frangible bridges each connecting a first part of the intermediate portion to a second part of the intermediate portion. Two or more of the frangible bridges have different sections.

A terminal block includes a housing adapted to be fixed to a support rail which has two flanges each with a right-angle lip along its free edge. Inside the housing are a metal bearing member which is fixed relative to the housing and a metal clamping member which is movable relative to the bearing member. Both these members have two branches. A screw passes through a bore in the bearing member. Hook faces on respective branches of the bearing member face towards the head of the screw and bearing faces on respective branches of the clamping member face away from the head of the screw. When the terminal block is mounted on a support rail at least one of the hook faces and at least one of the bearing faces bear on the rail. The clamping member is U-shaped, having a central part on the side of the bearing member opposite the head of the screw and side flanges embracing the bearing member. This central part is attached to the screw but can rotate relative to the screw.

Rail-mounted terminal block

A side connection terminal block of the kind comprises a generally tubular stirrup member fixed relative to an insulating material body common to two connecting terminals and laterally accessible at each end from the outside of the body through a lateral opening therein, for insertion of an electrical conductor. A clamping screw is immobilized axially relative to the stirrup member but relatively rotatable. A cable clamp presses the electrical conductor against a connecting link common to the two connecting terminals. The cable clamp which is disposed inside the stirrup member is prevented from rotating relative thereto and is interlocked with said clamping screw. The clamping screw is entirely disposed within the stirrup member common thereto.

A cable marker device comprises two elastically deformable arms integral with a plate. On the side of the plate facing the cable is at least one bearing area. Each arm carries an elastically deformable finger extending inwardly and towards the plate. It bears on the cable through this finger, which urges the bearing area(s) towards the cable.

An electrical connector has a casing of insulating material, comprising a body and a cover which is integral with the body and pivotally connected thereto by hinge means, and a connecting blade which is projectingly carried by the cover on the inside surface thereof and which cuts through the insulation of electrical conductors laid in cradle-like housings of the body upon closure of the cover onto the body. Engagement means are provided between the body and the cover and comprise at least one guide ramp means formed on a longitudinal wall of the body and a cooperating projecting lug provided on the cover.
