The present invention concerns an array processing image reconstruction method comprising: receiving a set of echo waveforms as measurements from the object of interest; defining a measurement model linking an unknown image of the object to the measurements; defining a data fidelity functional using the measurement model; defining a regularisation functional using a trained non-linear mapping, the regularisation functional comprising prior knowledge about the unknown image; defining an optimisation problem involving the data fidelity functional and the regularisation functional for obtaining a first image estimate of the unknown image; and solving the optimisation problem to obtain the first image estimate.

Image reconstruction method based on a trained non-linear mapping

The present invention concerns a pulse wave image reconstruction method to be used for example in ultrasound imaging. The proposed method is based on an image measurement model and its adjoint operator. The proposed method introduces matrix-free formulations of the measurement model and its adjoint operator. The proposed method has the advantage that the reconstructed image has a very high quality and that it can be reconstructed quickly.

Model-based image reconstruction method

The system comprises at least three anchors (&#x2033;) intended to be attached to the patient and equipped with markers (&#x2033;), an insertion guide device () with an insertion guide () intended to be attached to said anchors (&#x2033;), an external calibration device () with at least three calibration markers (&#x2033;) corresponding to said markers (&#x2033;) and a planning and imaging software. The planning and imaging software is used to determine the position of a target point in the patient with respect to the markers (&#x2033;), the calibration device is used to calibrate and orient the insertion guide () of the insertion guide device () mounted on said calibration markers (&#x2033;) using the determination of the software before the insertion guide device is mounted on said markers (&#x2033;) attached to the patient.

Adjustable stereotactic device and method for frameless neurosurgical stereotaxy

An image registration method for use in medical imaging includes the steps of: providing a sequence of images each one including a digital representation of a body-part under analysis, selecting a reference image within the sequence, the remaining images of the sequence defining moving images, and re-aligning at least one portion of a moving image with respect to the reference image. The step of re-aligning may include: defining a delimitation mask identifying a region on the reference image with which the at least one portion of the moving image has to be re-aligned, and a feature mask identifying a further region on the reference image within which the re-alignment is calculated, determining an optimized transformation for compensating a displacement of the moving image with respect to the reference image by optimizing a similarity measure, and transforming the at least one portion of the moving image according to the optimized transformation.

Image registration method and apparatus for medical imaging based on multiple masks

A method and apparatus for evaluating acute stroke patients and for determining whether a stroke patient will benefit from the use of thrombolysis therapy includes obtaining measurements of the cerebral blood flow and cerebral blood volume of the brain of a stroke patient, determining ischemic areas of the brain where the ischemic areas comprise the measurements of cerebral blood flow which are less than a first value and creating a penumbra-infarct map of the ischemic areas of the brain using the measurements. The infarct area corresponds to the area of the brain where cerebral blood volume is less than a second value. The penumbra area corresponds to the area of the brain where cerebral blood volume is greater than this second dvalue. The method also includes determining a ratio of penumbra size to the total of penumbra size and infarct size. When the ratio is greater than a predetermined value, the stroke patient is a candidate for thrombolysis therapy.
