The present invention relates to a device for transmitting a signal between a waveguide and a printed circuit board, the device comprising a first access means and a second access means for the signal to be transmitted, a conductor track forming the first access means, a printed circuit board comprising a substrate, and a transition element. The element comprises an upper ground plane and a lower ground plane that is intended to be in direct contact with the waveguide, the lower ground plane comprising a slot forming the second access means of the transmission device, one of the upper ground plane and the lower ground plane being connected to the conductor track.

Device for transmitting a signal to a waveguide

An antenna arrangement that is designed to match, or approach based on a cost function, a specification includes a list of a plurality of predefined frequencies and, possibly a list of predefined bandwidths at a matching level. The antenna arrangement is designed using a plurality of predefined elements comprising a primary conductive element defined as a main trunk and a combination of secondary conductive elements selected from trunks, branches or leaves. The primary conductive element and the secondary conductive elements are defined by design parameters that comprise a susceptance that is a function of a geometry, a form factor, a main dimension, an orientation of the secondary conductive elements relative to the primary conductive element and a position of the secondary conductive elements on the primary conductive element. The antenna arrangement may be further defined to match a predefined form factor.

Multiband antenna arrangement built to a specification from a library of basic elements

An antenna arrangement includes a conductive element configured to resonate at and above a chosen electromagnetic radiation frequency corresponding to a fundamental resonant mode. The conductive element is folded to make coupling areas intended to shift one or more of the resonant frequencies of the higher resonant modes. Each coupling area is defined related to the set of resonant frequencies according to which the antenna is supposed to work, and is formed by positioning parts of the conductive element facing each other. The location, along the conductive element, of the parts of that conductive element intended to form a given coupling area as well as the length of these parts and as the width of the gap between them when the coupling area is formed, are determined so as to provide a given increase or decrease of the resonant frequency of a given resonant mode of the conductive element.

The invention discloses an antenna arrangement and a method of designing the same, the antenna arrangement being tuned to radiate in a plurality of bands. The antenna arrangement comprises a first conductive element which has a compact linear 2D or 3D form factor. It also comprises leaves attached to the first conductive element, the position, dimension, form factor and orientation of which are defined based on their impact on frequency shifts of the fundamental and harmonic modes, so that the antenna arrangement radiates at a plurality of predefined frequencies. The design method uses maps of hot areas where the sensitivity to the parameters defined for the leaves is maximal. Advantageously, the design method is performed in a manner which uses an orthogonality of the impacts of the parameters of the leaves vis-&#xe0;-vis the different radiating modes. The antenna arrangement is compact and well adapted to applications to the IoT and consumer communication devices.

The invention discloses an antenna arrangement of a bonsai type, where not only the resonating frequencies may be adjusted, but also the bandwidth around some or all resonating frequencies. This is achieved by adding new branches to the trunk of the bonsai antenna arrangement. The positions and lengths of the branches are defined as a function of the frequencies around which the bandwidth should be adjusted. The antenna arrangement may be inscribed in a 3D compact volume of a specific form factor. It may also be inscribed in a planar structure. The antenna arrangement may be produced at a low cost. It may be used in a variety of applications, including communications in WiFi or other standards of multimedia content that need defined bandwidths for instance to comply to a predetermined quality of service.

The invention relates to a printed circuit for high-frequency signals, and more particularly to interconnect means between transmission lines situated on different faces of the printed circuit. According to the invention, in the vicinity of the interconnect means, the transmission lines each extend in a main direction. The interconnect means comprise two vias each extending along an axis. In a plane containing the main direction of a first of the transmission lines and perpendicular to the face bearing the first transmission line, an orthogonal fix is formed whose abscissa is borne by the main direction of the first transmission line. The abscissae of the axes of the vias or of their projection on the plane, perpendicularly to the plane, are separate.

The present invention relates to a mixer for signals at different frequencies comprising a network of diodes formed by a pair of diodes mounted in an anti-parallel manner, the first linking point of the diodes being connected to the ground, the second linking point being connected to the ports of transmission/reception signal paths and to the port of a local oscillator path at different frequencies. An impedance matching network for dual-mode use is connected in series in the diode network between the first linking point connected to the ground and the anode of one of the diodes of the diode network. A filtering network is connected between the second linking point and each of the ports of the transmission/reception paths and of the local oscillator path.

A connection device for high frequency signals is disclosed. The connection device includes a printed circuit having an external face and a transmission line printed on the external face, and a coaxial connector surface mounted on the external face of the printed circuit. The invention relates to an electronic switching device for high-frequency signals. The invention is of particular use in the connection between a microwave frequency antenna and an electronic circuit. This circuit comprises one or two access points designed to be connected to the antenna forming a third access point. In the case of a switch between one access point and the antenna (called an SPST switch), it comprises two switching diodes, one, called a serial diode, being connected in series between the access points and the other, called a shunt diode, between one of the access points and an earth of the device. According to the invention, a first transmission line is placed in series with the shunt diode, a second transmission line is placed in series with the serial diode, a third transmission line is placed at the common point of the first transmission line and of the shunt diode, a fourth transmission line is placed at the first access point, and a fifth transmission line is placed at the second access point. For a switch with three access points, two other diodes and four other transmission lines are added in a symmetrical manner relative to those already described. It is possible to obtain adapted lines having lengths much shorter than &#x3bb;/4, which makes it possible to improve the compactness of the device while increasing its bandwidth.
