A work environment adjustment system includes multiple instances of controllable office equipment located within an office space, each instance associated with a specific office location and including an activator for controlling states of the instance, at least one presence sensor for detecting user presence within each space associated with each instance, and a master controller linked to each office equipment activator to control activation of each activator to control a current state of each instance. The master controller is programmed to perform the steps of receiving sensor signals from the at least a first presence sensor, determining user presence at each space associated with each instance, controlling states at each of the instances independent of user input when the space associated with the instance is vacant, and enabling user control of the state of each instance associated with a space that is occupied by a user.

A system for managing the elevation of a workstation, the system comprising a frame, a worktop having an upper worksurface, at least a first powered vertical-displacement drive mechanism connected between the frame and the worktop and arranged to selectively vertically displace the worktop with respect to the frame, a presence sensor and a processor linked to the drive mechanism and the sensor, the processor using information from the presence sensor to track user presence at the workstation and, upon detecting that the workstation is unoccupied, automatically controlling the drive mechanism to move the worktop from a current height to a scheduled height.

A method for automatically authenticating unknown video data based on known video data stored at a client server is provided, wherein, unknown and known video data each are made up of segments and include metadata, a hash message digest, and a serial code. The method involves selecting a first segment of the unknown video and locating the serial code within the first segment of the unknown video data. The serial code is used to locate a corresponding first segment in the known video data. The first segment may include a known hash message digest. A new hash message digest for the first segment of the unknown video data is generated and compared with the known hash message digest. If they match, the segment of unknown video data is authentic.

Systems and methods for authenticating and presenting video evidence

In a system for video data capture and sharing client devices may include one or more video cameras and sensors to capture video data and to generate associated metadata. A cloud-based component may receive metadata from the client devices and requests for sharing video data captured by other client devices. The system can be used to implement a ridesharing method to connect a rider to a driver. Information about the driver and rider is accessed when a driver accepts a ridesharing request. Camera devices in the pickup area can detect the license plate of the driver's vehicle to confirm its arrival and a client device in the vehicle can facially recognize the driver at the wheel. Similarly, the location of the rider in the pickup area can be verified, for example through a face recognition scan. Once both driver and rider are verified, they are notified of their presence in the pickup area and linked, for example by identifying the rider in an augmented reality display in the driver's vehicle and by displaying an image of the rider on a side-facing display.

A table assembly comprising a worktop, a frame supporting the worktop, an integrated drive subassembly, a memory storing defined conditions, a control system including a user input control interface and at least one processor, the input control interface for receiving user commands to initiate changes in worktop height, the processor programmed to perform the steps of a) at any time, respond to direct manual user input via the interface to change the worktop height and b) enable a reminder function to periodically change the worktop height by i) monitoring worktop use, ii) comparing worktop use to at least one of the defined conditions, iii) after the at least one condition is met, providing a signal to the user to change the worktop height to a different position, iv) monitoring for user input via the interface to change the worktop height and (v) upon each of the worktop height being changed prior to providing a signal to the user to change the worktop height and the worktop height being changed subsequent to providing a signal to the user to change the worktop height, repeating steps (i) through (v).

A sound management system for use by a user located within an environment includes a memory device for storing a selection of sounds. The sounds can be music and/or various 'colors' of noise (e.g., white, pink, and brown). A controller is used to select one particular stored sound based on a measured biological condition of the user, such as stress or fatigue, or an environmental condition of the environment, such as ambient noise. According to one embodiment, the system is used in conjunction with a sit/stand desk and the sound selection is made in response to changes in the desk height. The selected sound is selected to help abate or mitigate distracting sounds in the environment, such as people talking. The selected sounds are played to the user through headphones worn by the user, or through nearby speakers.

Methods and systems for reminding a user to adjust a height adjustable workstation that includes a worktop supported by a frame, an interface including user input controls and a vertical displacement drive mechanism, the user input controls including at least one input control, each of the user input controls for receiving manual direct user selections from a workstation user to activate the drive mechanism to initiate worktop elevation adjustments to a different worktop elevation positions, an exemplary method comprising the steps of monitoring at least one condition related to ongoing use of the worktop over a period of time while a user is associated with the worktop and when the at least one condition occurs, without any user selection to initiate a change in worktop height via the interface subsequent to the at least one condition occurring, moving the worktop to remind the user to perform some activity.

A system for adjusting a height of a workstation, comprising a height adjust system for a workstation, the height adjust system being adjustable in elevation, a worktop mounted to the height adjustment system for movement therewith to different positions, a first sensor device for sensing the presence of a workstation user within a space associated with the workstation, a processor that tracks and stores at least the duration of time that the worktop is in at least one of a sitting position and a standing position while a user is within the space associated with the workstation, the processor further providing a user with a reminder to change a current position of the worktop to another position.

An adjustable desking system for supporting users in a plurality of ergonomic positions, the system comprising a plurality of sit-stand desks, each desk including a variable length leg assembly including an activator and a height adjustable worktop supported at a top end of the leg assembly and a master controller linked to each of the activators at the plurality of desks to control activation of each activator to raise and lower a worktop associated with the specific activator, wherein, the master controller controls worktop heights at each of the desks independent of user input when the desk is vacant and enables user control of the height of any worktop at a desk that is occupied by a user.

A system and method to connect several cameras located in a given location, such as a parking garage, or area, such as in a neighborhood, is provided. The system allows each camera to function independently from each other with the purpose of recording video within the field of view of the particular camera. Image recognition processes the video to identify objects of interest and generate classification data. A search request can be generated, for example, by touching on a specific object shown on a display of the video, and networked cameras are searched for classification data that matches the search request, e.g., the selected object. Networked cameras can determine the relative spatial views of other cameras. Within a prescribed location or area, a camera or other user can access other networked cameras to extend the range of the search for the requested classification data in a 'peer-to-peer' manner. Artificial intelligence software and logic is used to determine which of the surrounding networked cameras is likely to provide requested classification data.

Monitoring an area using multiple networked video cameras

A system for protecting electronic headset components from sunlight is provided. The headset is secured to a user's head for use and includes an electronic display, a lens, and a battery all secured to a frame structure. The frame structure includes a mask portion which is sized and shaped to fit snugly against the user's face, and a strap for holding the mask to the face. According to the invention, a moveable shield is mounted to a portion of the frame structure, either directly or indirectly, and is designed to move between a stowed position, wherein light from the display may pass freely through the lens to the user's eyes, during use, and a blocking position, wherein sunlight is prevented from passing through the lens and reaching, and damaging, the delicate electronic display. The shield may be sized and shaped to fit both lenses, or each lens, and may pivot or slide between positions, either automatically, or manually. According to an embodiment, the shield may move automatically in response to a control circuit timed according to a particular moment during display of select video content. The shield may be made from any appropriate opaque or diffuse, or translucent material and may even be made from an electrochromic material.
