The invention relates to a new solid storage and marketing presentation for phytosanitary compositions based on any active substance which is little soluble in water or insoluble in water and solid at ambient temperature; these active substances are especially selected from herbicides presenting the said features; these herbicides comprise bramoxynil, ioxynil and their esters as well as. dinitroanilines, especially butralin, pendimethalin, flumetralin and oryzalin. It is in the form of flakes based on a film-forming material which is water-soluble and brittle after drying, and throughout which are dispersed especially the particles of active material. This solid storage and marketing presentation may be prepared by maly of an installation comprising a rotating drying drum (1) on which a thin layer of a dispersion (D) of particles of active substance in an aqueous solution of a film-forming material which is brittle at the dry state is applied. The parties of the surface of the drum on which is applied the dispersion (D) travel through the heated part or zone of the chamber (2) at a speed such that the dispersion is dried, shrinks and becomes detached fromthe surface of the drum (1) in forming flakes (P).

Phytosanitary flake compositions

Granular herbicidal water-soluble composition based either on aminotriazole alone or on aminotriazole combined with at least one other herbicide selected from the group comprising alkaline, alkaline-earth metal and ammonium thiocyanates, glyphosate, MCPA sodium salt, sulfosate, glufosinate, paraquat and metribuzen. It is provided in the form of granules of cylindrical shape, with a composition and a diameter which are substantially identical from one granule of cylindrical shape to another for a given granular herbicidal composition, the diameter and the length of the said granules of cylindrical shape being respectively of the order of 0.4 to 2 mm, preferably of 0.8 to 1.4 mm, and of the order of 5 to 10 millimeters. The said granular herbicidal composition is obtainable by use of a process according to which aminotriazole, alone or as an intimate homogeneous mixture with at least one other herbicide of the above-identified group, is, if necessary, brought by milling to a suitable particle size, mixed with an amount of water sufficient to ensure its cohesion under a moderate pressure, optionally brought together with a surface-active agent and directed through the orifices of the grid of an extrusion device, the granules of cylindrical shape thus obtained being dried.

Granular herbicidal composition based on at least aminotriazole

Herbicidal products comprising a mixture of one or several linear acid esters and one or several branched acid esters of bromoxynil and/or a mixture of one or several linear acid esters and one or several branched acid esters of ioxynil, the proportion of linear acid esters of bromoxynil in the mixture of the latter with the branched acid esters of bromoxynil being from 20-90%, preferably from 30-80% molar and the proportion of linear acid esters of ioxynil in the mixture of the latter with the branched acid esters of ioxynil being from 30-95% and, preferably, from 40-85% molar, with the proportion of branched acid esters representing each time the complement to 100%.
