A cap for a container can include a disc-shaped top section, an annular side section projecting from the disc-shaped top section, and a locking flange disposed at an extremity of the annular side section opposite the disc-shaped top section. The cap can further include a locking flap extending from the annular side section, and the locking flap can be mobile between a locked first position in which a portion of the locking flange extends inwardly from the annular side section and an unlocked second position in which the locking flange is at least partially recessed relative to the annular side section.

A mold can form a one-piece container closure by injection molding. The closure may have a base portion that inwardly defines an opening centered about a base portion longitudinal axis and a hinged cap that is linked to the base portion by an outside hinge member. The hinge member may have two opposite ends that are respectively connected to the base portion and the cap, thus defining an elongated hinge member therebetween. A mold may include two parts which respectively define two internal cavities facing each other along a longitudinal axis of alignment that coincides with the base portion longitudinal axis. The two mold parts my be movable along the longitudinal axis of alignment between a closed position where they define together a mold jointing plane and an open position where they are spaced apart from each other for demolding the closure.

A one-piece closure can mount on a container having an aperture. The one-piece closure includes a base portion that inwardly defines an opening centered about a base portion longitudinal axis and that is intended to be mounted on the container neck. The one-piece closure includes a hinged cap that is linked to the base portion by an outside hinge member. The hinge member has two opposite ends that are respectively connected to the base portion and the cap, the cap being movable between a closed position in which it closes the aperture of the base portion and an open position in which the aperture is left clear. The two opposite ends of the hinge member are aligned along an axis that is inclined with respect to the base portion longitudinal axis when the cap is in the closed position.

The present invention is directed to process for making a packaging, said packaging comprising a container () with a container body () and a container opening having an upper edge, said packaging further comprising a closure () for closing said container, the container and the closure being made out of polyethylene terephtalate (PET), polyethylene naphtalate (PEN), or a combination thereof, said container () and said closure () comprising respectively first () and second () attachment means, characterized in that: said process comprising the steps of in order: (i) fitting said first () and second () attachment means to each other, (ii) deforming at least one of the first and/or second attachment means up to the point of permanent deformation of the PET or PEN material, by punching, rolling, or a combination thereof, so as to create a permanent, leak-tight, attachment between said container and said closure.

The present invention concerns a package that includes (i) a container with a body and a neck, a container opening with an opening diameter (d), a screw thread, and a flange extending outwardly and having a flange diameter (D), and (ii) a removable closure adapted to be unscrewed from the screw threads of the container, with the closure having a top, a skirt and a tamper-evident ring attached to the lower edge of the skirt and is adapted to catch the flange of the container's neck when the closure is first screwed onto the neck. The ring is detachable from the skirt upon first removal of the closure from the neck. The container has a top load resistance inferior or equal to 30 daN, and the height h between the neck top edge and the lower part of the flange is such that it satisfies the relationship h&#x2266;(d/3).
