A head-worn display device carried for displaying an image in accordance with at least two projection reference frames, including an image acquisition module configured to separately acquire an image stream for each of the at least two projection reference frames and/or to extract from a single input stream an image stream for each of the at least two projection reference frames. The head-worn display device also includes a spatial processing module configured to adapt the corresponding image stream to a display reference frame for each projection reference frame, a mixing module configured to generate a resulting stream, and a projection module configured to project the resulting stream onto a display surface in accordance with the display reference frame.

An image acquisition system comprises: a single set of focussing optics focussing an incident beam from a scene to be imaged on a first sensor and a second sensor exhibiting identical spectral response curves; followed by separation means separating the irradiance of the beam coming from the focussing optics into first and second predetermined fractions, the separation means orienting the first fraction towards the first sensor and the second fraction towards the second sensor; control means for controlling a first acquisition time of the scene to be imaged by the first sensor to obtain a first image and/or a second acquisition time of the scene to be imaged by the second sensor to obtain a second image; and merging means that merge the first image coming from the first sensor and the second image coming from the second sensor to generate a final image.

Acquisition system for images having a high dynamic range

The field of the invention is that of optical devices allowing the superposition of an electronic image on an image coming from an external scenery. The subject of the invention is an optical device for superposing images, designed to be positioned in front of an optical module comprising at least an objective and a photosensitive surface positioned in the focal plane of said objective. The device comprises an image source, an optical relay and an optical combiner formed of two optical parts assembled via an approximately plane common face including a weakly reflective coating. The combiner has the general form of a plate with plane parallel faces, the common face being inclined at around 45 degrees to said plane faces. It has an entrance face and a opposing face that are approximately perpendicular to the plane faces, the opposing face having approximately the form of a reflecting spherical surface. This device applies in particular to night vision goggles where, when the optical combiner is placed in front of the objective of a goggles body, it allows superposition of an electronic image on the external scenery while introducing marginal attenuation.
