The female contact element comprising a rear shank designed to receive an electrical conductor and a front shank equipped with an elastic socket designed to receive a male contact element. The female contact element is formed from a one-piece tubular body in which the front shank and the rear shank are arranged, the elastic socket being fixed mounted in the front shank. The module comprises a connection box that can be coupled to a similar box belonging to a complementary module, and a retention plate adapted to lock each of a number of electric contacts between a shoulder of a passage and a resilient pawl integral with the relation plate, which is movable between a retracted contact-insertion/-extraction position and a forward contact-retention position. Each pawl is extended by a finger having a curved end and a shape such that it is stopped against a terminal projection of the box when the plate is in its retracted position, and it then moves the pawl away from the contact-retention position thereof.

A female electrical contact terminal having a rear tubular shank for connection with an electrical conductor, a forwardly open electrically conductive annular portion for receiving a male terminal, subdivided by a plurality of circumferentially distributed axial slots into a plurality of fingers, each said finger extending axially from a root securely connected to said rear tubular shank up to a free end having an inner swelling, the swelling of all arms defining a male terminal entrance, and a rigid tubular section secured to the roots of the fingers, surrounding the fingers, and limiting radially outwards resilient deformation of the fingers from a free condition of the fingers in which they converge forwardly among from the tubular section. A plurality of such terminal may be located in the insulation of a half-connector.
