A braking system comprises one or more brake cylinders () each associated with one or more wheels, a fluid supply (), and a brake control () for commanding the feeding of fluid to the cylinder or cylinders via one or more brake valves and one or more brake pipes (). The system also comprises a function selector () adapted to adopt an antislip mode position (A) or antilock mode positions in which it connects a branch pipe () to a fluid feed pipe () or to a return line () and a control valve () for the or each brake cylinder adapted to adopt a normal braking position (A,A,A,A) to connect the cylinder to the brake pipe () and one or more special mode positions (B,B,B,B) to connect the cylinder to the branch pipe () that the function selector connects to the return line or to the feed. The system further comprises means (, UC) for detecting wheelspin or a wheel tending to lock and for commanding the function selector () and the control valve associated with the brake cylinder associated with that wheel accordingly.

Motor vehicle wheel antiskid and antilock device using the braking circuit

A hydrostatic transmission circuit for a vehicle having at least two displacement members () driven by at least one hydraulic motor () having a feed main duct and a discharge main duct (). Skid control means for controlling skidding of at least one displacement member comprise a skid control valve () and an additional valve () that are disposed in parallel on a main duct (). At least the skid control valve () has a constriction of variable section, while the additional valve has two end positions (A,B), in which its through sections are respectively at their maximum and at their minimum. Braking system for braking a rotor relative to a stator

Apparatus for providing drive assistance in a vehicle having a main transmission that is mechanical. The apparatus comprises a hydraulic motor of the type having radial pistons that is powered by a main pump. The pistons can be retracted into their cylinders in a free-wheel configuration of the motor or they can co-operate with the reaction member of the motor when they are in a working configuration. The apparatus comprises means for implementing successive stages of a sequence for causing the motor to pass from its free-wheel configuration to its working configuration. The sequence comprises an initialization stage in which the case of the motor is filled with fluid at a &ldquo;service&rdquo; pressure by means of an auxiliary duct and a service duct, and in which the main feed and exhaust ducts of the motor are placed at a filling pressure that is lower than the service pressure. The sequence then comprises a clutch engagement stage during which the inside space of the case is connected to a fluid return tank and during which the main ducts are isolated from each other.

Bearing device for supporting a wheel and equipped with braking means

A hydraulic motor comprising a cylinder block having at least a first group of radial cylinders, a reaction member mounted to rotate relative to the cylinder block, and an internal fluid distributor having distribution ducts. The motor further comprises a single declutching selector constrained to rotate with the cylinder block about the axis of rotation and provided with a communication duct for each cylinder of the first group of cylinders, the selector being suitable for taking up a first position, in which it is possible to connect the cylinder ducts of said cylinders to the distribution ducts, a second position, in which it is possible to declutch the pistons of the cylinders of the first group by putting the cylinder ducts of said cylinders in communication with a fluid discharge enclosure, and an intermediate transitional position between said first and second positions, and in which said cylinder ducts are connected together via an isolated enclosure.
