An alternator having a rotor and a stator is described. The stator includes a cylindrical body with a plurality of phases. Each of the plurality of phases includes a phase input located at least partially outside of the cylindrical body, where the phase input is formed of a bar. The bar includes a longitudinal surface extending along at least a part of the bar, a first segment crossing the cylindrical body, and a second segment extending from an axial side of the cylindrical body. Each of the plurality of phases further includes a phase output located at least partially outside of the cylindrical body and conducting elements crossing the cylindrical body and forming at two axially opposite sides of the body, respectively, a first chignon and a second chignon. The conducting elements are electrically connected to form at least one winding connecting the phase input to the phase output.

Alternator equipped with stator having twisted inputs

The invention relates to an alternator for a motor vehicle including a stator () equipped with a body () carrying several phases each comprising, on the one hand, an inlet (Eto E') and an outlet (Sto S&#x2032;) installed outside the body () of the stator (), and, on the other hand, electrically conducting elements, which are arranged in a network on either side of the body () of the stator () so as to form a first () and a second (&#x2032;) bun and which pass through the said body, in which the electrically conducting elements are linked together to form the said networks and connect the inlet of the phase to the outlet of the phase by forming at least one winding. According to the invention, one of the buns (&#x2032;), on one side of the body () of the stator (), carries three inlets (Eto E&#x2013;E&#x2032;to E&#x2032;), an electrically conducting linking part () linking the said inlets electrically together.

Motor vehicle alternator

The invention relates to alternators for a motor vehicle, of which a stator comprises a cylindrical body, several phases each formed by a plurality of electrically conducting elements, the cylindrical body comprising radial slots for accommodating at least four phase-conductor elements forming at least four layers of conductor elements, each conductor element including two branches placed in slots each in a predetermined layer and a head forming a U-shape seen in the peripheral direction, the half of the conductor elements which are engaged by their first branches in a slot being engaged by their second respective branches in the same other slot. According to the invention, at least first and second conductor elements of such half are such that the radii of curvature of the U-shapes of the two conductor elements are substantially identical.

Several phase for a stator of an alternator for a motor vehicle

An alternator, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprises half-shells to which stator windings are fixed and which rotatably receive a rotor shaft, and a rectifier circuit made up of power diodes each comprising body and a lead extending axially from said body. The bodies of some of the diodes are connected to ground while the bodies of the other diodes are connected to an output terminal of the alternator. The diode bodies are fixed on or in the back half-shell of the alternator on or in a dissipating support which is generally in the form of a plate that is insulated from the half-shell and that is outside it. According to the invention, the distance between the dissipating support and the back half-shell, and the positions of the said other diodes on the dissipating support are such that the leads of said other diodes project into openings formed in the back half-shell.
