A tool device for use with a motor vehicle tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) operable to send and receive signals to a TPMS tire pressure sensor and a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag positioned in a vehicle tire. In one example, the tool is operable to communicate with the RFID tag to receive information from the RFID tag through an ultra-high frequency communication module and send that received RFID tag information to the tire pressure sensor for storage on the tire pressure sensor. The tool may then retrieve the tire pressure sensor information and associated RFID tag information from the sensor and transmit that information to the motor vehicle on-board computer.

Method for detecting leakage of a hollow component and installation for implementing such a method

A testing device and method may be implemented for improved detection of leaks in batteries used in portable electronic devices. The leak testing device may use two high voltage electrodes to detect ionized air leaks. The first high voltage electrode may be configured as a test voltage, and the second high voltage electrode may be configured as a reference voltage. The first high voltage electrode and the second high voltage electrode may be configured as current limitation resistors. The leak testing device may include a processor that measures the first high voltage electrode and the second high voltage electrode. The leak testing device may include a display that is configured to display a difference between readings of the first high voltage electrode and the second high voltage electrode.

Battery leak test device and methods

A testing device and method may be implemented for improved detection of leaks in batteries used in portable electronic devices. The leak testing device may include a chamber configured to hold a device under test. The chamber may include a conductive foam, a conductive liquid, or any suitable conductive material. The chamber may be configured to hold the device under test in a substantially airtight environment and prevent or reduce air ionization under high voltage. The device under test may be a battery that has a conductive outer layer.

A leak detection device and method for use in testing a wall with selective gas/liquid permeability. The wall is sealed inside a containment including an injection chamber and a test chamber. The injection chamber is in communication with an injection and pressurization source and the test chamber is in communication with a vacuum production device.
