A snow board, the camber of the side cut of which is accentuated, including a bottom surface () with a forward contact line (L), which is a forward limit of the contact zone of the bottom surface () on a horizontal planar surface (P), the board () being placed on the horizontal planar surface (P), and a shovel (), which is a forward part of the board () that is curved upward in order to overcome obstacles, the shovel () having a width of the shoulder of the ski line (L), defined as being a line on the bottom surface () in the shovel zone () at the location where its width (b) is at a maximum, wherein the height (h) of the width of the shoulder of the ski line (L), measured between said bottom surface () and said horizontal planar surface (P), is about 5 mm and to 15 mm.

Board for gliding over snow with improved shovel and tail turn-up

An alpine ski includes a board for gliding which has a zone for attaching a ski boot binding assembly on its upper face, which assembly includes a toe stop and a heel binding. A thickness of the board at a front portion of the zone is greater than a thickness of the board at a rear portion of the zone so that the front portion is elevated with respect to the rear portion. A rigid plate, located on the board in the zone, has a front part for attaching the toe stop and a rear part for attaching the heel binding. The front part of the rigid plate is rigidly secured to the front portion of the zone. The rear part of the rigid plate overlies the rear portion of the zone and is separated from the upper face of the rear portion by a gap for permitting relative movement between the board and the rear part of the rigid plate.

Alpine ski

A board for gliding has an upper face which includes a zone for fitting the binding. The fitting zone is centered with respect to the point for fitting the mid-point of the boot, and receives the toe stop of a binding in its front portion and the heel binding in its rear portion. The board includes a step between the front portion of the fitting zone and the rear portion of the fitting zone, and is modified such that gliding board at the front portion of the fitting zone is thicker than the gliding board at the rear portion of the fitting zone.

A ski including a running sole (17) and a metal edge (18), whose lateral ridges are connected to the upper surface (3) of the ski by lateral side walls (2). On the upper face (3) and in front and/or behind the central zone of the support face (8), at least one recess (9, 10) extends, whose depth decreases from the zone of the support face in the direction of the two ends (4, 5) of the ski.
