It is proposed a seismic data acquisition device () intended to be placed on an ocean bottom floor, comprising a polymeric casing () defining a chamber that houses at least art of a data acquisition system (); and a metallic device () in which the polymeric casing () is trapped, the metallic device () comprising two metallic beams () that extend on opposite sides of the polymeric casing (). System and method for providing an anti-fouling function to a streamer to be towed under water for seismic survey data collection. The method includes mixing a thermoplastic material with a biocide material to form an external sheath material; and forming an external sheath over a main sheath of the streamer to provide the anti-fouling function. The external sheath is formed from the external sheath material such that the biocide material is distributed throughout the external sheath.

A marine cable includes chambers forming a necklace float. For filling, degassing the chambers and for connecting two successive chambers, the cable includes an intervention orifice between the chambers and with which the chambers communicate.
