The two-chamber dispenser comprises a rigid or semi-rigid one piece can body with a shoulder forming a flanged opening and a flexible pouch which is inserted inside and is made of a material for providing a diffusion barrier. The dispenser is for liquid, pasty or creamy contents. The pouch is made of a laminate and features a neck in the region of the flange. The flange is suitable for clinching on a valve or pump plate after filling.

In twin-chamber compressed gas packs, the collar of a diaphragm which invaginates during motion in the container is secured with its opening region in a fold or in the upper part of the container, in order to provide the required sealing between product chamber and working fluid chamber. The disadvantage of packs of this type is that the use of multipart containers is mandatory and/or that a support ring incorporated in the diaphragm produces a frictional force which may be large enough to prevent ejection of the feed material because of an insufficient pressure differential between the chambers. These drawbacks are overcome by securing the entire region of the collar to the internal wall of the casing.

Two-chamber compressed-gas pack

A device for conducting away exhaust gases from internal combustion engines comprises at least one sleeve-shaped silencer which encloses an exhaust pipe and forms an enclosed space around said exhaust pipe. The silencer is made up of at least two sleeve-shaped parts, or of a sleeve-shaped part and base part, which are joined together. The portion of the exhaust pipe in the space inside the silencer features perforations and/or sound absorbing elements. The inside of the silencer may be fitted with sound absorbers. The sleeve-shaped parts of the silencer and, if desired, the exhaust pipe and/or the sound absorbers are made of aluminum and/or an aluminum alloy. The sleeve-shaped parts of the silencer are manufactured by impact extrusion, deep drawing or a similar method and are joined together preferably radial to their longitudinal axis. The ends these parts taper down to tube-shaped extensions which fit over the exhaust pipe. To join the sleeve-shaped parts and the tube-shaped extensions to the exhaust pipe a region is provided on which an interlocking profile is created by electromagnetic forces.

A device for conducting away exhaust gases from internal combustion engines comprises at least one sleeve-shaped silencer which encloses an exhaust pipe and forms an enclosed space around said exhaust pipe. The silencer is made up of at least two sleeve-shaped parts, or of a sleeve-shaped part and base part, which are joined together. The portion of the exhaust pipe in the space inside the silencer features perforations and/or sound absorbing elements. The inside of the silencer may be fitted with sound absorbers. The sleeve-shaped parts of the silencer and if desired, the exhaust pipe and/or the sound absorbers are made of aluminum and/or an aluminum alloy. The sleeve-shaped parts of the silencer are manufactured by impact extrusion, deep drawing or a similar method and all joined together preferably radial to their longitudinal axis. The ends these parts taper down to tube-shaped extensions which fit over the exhaust pipe. To join the sleeve-shaped parts and the tube-shaped extensions to the exhaust pipe a region is provided on which an interlocking profile is created by electromagnetic forces.

A metal can with a membrane covering the opening in the can is sealed to a circumferential flange which is part of a necked-down region on the can body. The necked-down region can be provided directly at the edge of the opening end of the can body and the flange can be in the form of an end flange. It may, however, also be provided at such a distance from the edge of the can body at the opening end of the can, that a cylindrical extension results beyond the flange. By forming the flange directly on the can body, the can, which is able to be used widely, can be made simply and in a manner which saves material.

Metal can with membrane type closure

An aerosol dispenser can has a cylindrical body and an outwardly-concave bottom divided into an outer annular frusto-spherical part and a central dome like part by a plurality of discrete generally tangential scores spaced apart in circular configuration, the central part having a greater radius of curvature than the outer part. Generally tangential scores may also be spaced around a rolled rim at the edge of the bottom. These scores weaken the resistance of the bottom to outward deformation so that in the case of a certain internal overpressure, the bottom firstly deforms outwardly and one or more scores then gradually rip, without propagation of the ripping, to release the overpressure. The neighboring ends of adjacent scores may be arranged out of alignment with one another to prevent propagation of ripping from one score to the next.

Relief vent for pressurized cans

An outwardly flanged valve cup is secured to a rolled annular edge about an opening of an aerosol can, with interposition of a sealing gasket between the flange and edge, by exerting a downward pressure on an inner part of the cap to elastically pre-stress the flange by its reaction pressure against the gasket and edge, and, while the flange is so held, outwardly expanding a skirt portion of the cup by plastic deformation to form an annular fixing bulge therein, the flange being left free to adopt a definitive position as a function of its reaction pressure and being held in its definitive position by the fixing bulge.
