A lighting device usable in a vehicle, the lighting device comprising at least a reflector and a lamp, wherein the reflector further includes an orifice. The lamp may be mounted in a lamp holder, the lamp holder being coupled to the reflector and positioned at least partly in the office. In addition, the orifice located within the reflector may be configured to work with a variety of lamp holders, including at least a discharge bulb lamp holder and a halogen bulb lamp holder.

The invention concerns an elliptical optical module intended for a motor vehicle. The elliptical optical module comprises a reflector intended to receive a light source. The elliptical optical module also comprises a shield comprising at least one support flap and an optically active flap. The optically active flap obstructs at least part of the light rays emitted by the light source. The elliptical optical module also comprises a convex lens intended to receive at least part of the light rays. The elliptical optical module comprises elastic fixing means for holding the shield on a support piece.

The present invention relates to a reflector which provides for good ventilation of a light source located in the said reflector and facilitates the passage of the reflector on production lines for the purpose of covering an internal surface of the reflector with powder. To this end, there is proposed according to the invention a reflector in which a reflector and a lamp holder are produced separately, prior to being interlocked. The reflector produced thus comprises a set of supports which are arranged such that a light source subsequently fitted in the reflector can be ventilated in a satisfactory manner. The lamp holder is interlocked with the reflector on the supports by means of centering pins and assembly studs.
