A process for controlling a lens manufacturing process comprising the steps of: a) manufacturing a master lens according to a manufacturing process using a manufacturing device, b) measuring by using at least a measuring device at least one parameter of the master lens of step a), c) recording the value of the parameter, d) repeating regularly step a) to c) and checking the evolution of the parameter over time, wherein the evolution of at least one parameter of the manufacturing device used during the lens manufacturing process is checked over time and the evolution over time of at least one parameter of the master lens is related with the evolution over time of the at least one parameter of the manufacturing device.

Process for controlling a lens manufacturing process

The inventive valve comprises a dosing chamber () connected to a dispenser () provided with input and output orifices () which are connected to said dosing chamber () when the dispenser () is in a position (), an injection orifice () being isolated. When the dispenser () is in a position (), the input and output orifices () are isolated from the dosing chamber () and from an injection orifice () which are connected to each other. In addition, said device comprises a source of polymerisable material which is provided with a container (), a continuous pump () and a control unit () for control elements () of the valve ().

The inventive device includes a first shell holder () for fixing a first shell (), a second shell holder () for fixing a second shell (), a first support () on which the first shell holder () is mounted and a second support () on which the second shell holder () is mounted, the first () and second () supports being pivotable with respect to each other. When the first () and second () supports are in a first relative position thereof they are arranged oppositely to each other, thereby bringing the first () and second () shells into a predetermined relative moulding position thereof. When the first () and second () shells are brought into the second relative position thereof, the first () and second () supports are removed from each other by pivoting motion.
