A substrate sheet transporting device is provided. The device includes a first transfer cylinder defining a first axis, a circumferential direction and a transverse direction and a transfer belt () extending around the first transfer cylinder. The first transfer cylinder includes first openings for the passage of a gas and the transfer belt includes second openings for the passage of a gas. The transfer belt and the first transfer cylinder define an alignment position in which the second passage openings are aligned with the first passage openings. The transfer device includes a device for adjusting the position of the transfer belt relative to the first transfer cylinder by bringing the transfer belt toward the alignment position. The invention is applicable to cutting devices of rotary printing presses.

A folding device capable of folding signatures and includes a blade cylinder, which is provided with at least one blade; a counter-pressure cylinder, which is provided with at least two counter-pressure elements which together define an axial gap; and a conveying element which is capable of conveying a signature, and which extends in the axial gap. The blade extends over the axial gap and the conveying element extends in the axial gap with spacing from the blade when the blade co-operates with the counter-pressure elements.

Folding apparatus in a web-fed rotary printing press

A device for positioning a cross cut relative to printed images on at least one printing material web in a web-fed press having at least one printing unit, includes a cross cutter. Also included is a computing device for generatingtherein at least a first control signal for changing a phase angle of the printing unit and the cross cutter relative to one another. A path length variation device for changing a path length through which the printing material web runs between the printing unit and the cross cutter is also included. The computing device further serves for generating a second control signal for changing the path length and, by interaction of the change in the relative phase angle and the change in the path length, serves for adjusting the positioning of a cross cut on the printing material web. A web-fed printing press includes the cross-cut positioning device. A method for operating the device is also provided.

Device and method for positioning a cross cut on printing material and web-fed press having the device

A device for catching a torn transport belt, includes a holding device for the transport belt. The holding device has two catching elements between which the transport belt runs, for holding the transport belt firmly therebetween. A first one of the two catching elements has a convex surface facing towards the transport belt, and the second one of the two catching elements has a concave surface facing towards the transport belt. Also included is a device for measuring tension of the transport belt, the tension measuring device being constructed for triggering the holding device when the tension of the transport belt falls below a prescribed value. A folder including the catching device is also provided.
