A connection between a shielding sleeve of a connector housing and an inner as well as an outer braided shield of an electric cable is produced by providing a shielding sleeve with a contact, the end piece of which has an omega-like shape and regionally encompasses the braided shield in a contacting fashion, in which an additional contact tab protruding out of the contact pad is provided for contacting the braided shield.

The invention proposes a metallic push-pull connector for use in harsh and moist industrial environments that is provided with a sliding sleeve and features an interlocking device that causes the connector to be interlocked with a mating connector during the installation process, wherein the interlocking hooks of the interlocking device are levered out of snap-in depressions in the mating connector by means of a wedge-shaped slope when the sliding sleeve is pulled back.

Metallic connector

A plug connector consisting of a female plug and a male plug comprises a plurality of signal contacts that are combined into an assembly, and a plurality of power contacts that likewise are combined into an assembly. The power contact assembly has a housing provided with insulation piercing contacts, as well as a cable guide that includes a cable receiving opening and is pivotally provided on the housing, so that it can swivel between an open position in which a cable can be pushed into the cable receiving opening, and a closed position in which the cable is forced into the insulation piercing contact.

Plug connector

The invention pertains to a separable plug connection, particularly for rectangular connectors that are composed of a shielding metal housing, a connector insert and an insulating sleeve that encompasses the metal housing, as well as a correspondingly designed mating connector. The invention proposes to arrange the encompassing sleeve in a displaceable fashion, wherein metal locking levers arranged on the metal housing are guided into a slot within the sleeve in such a way that the free ends of the metal locking levers are pressed part during a sliding movement of the sleeve. When the connector and the corresponding mating connector are connected and interlocked, this causes hooks integrally arranged on the metal locking levers to be levered out of opening arranged on the mating connector such that the locking device is released. The hooks engage into the openings when the plug connection needs to be interlocked.

A connector with insulation displacement contacts for connecting electric conductors, in which the insulation displacement contacts are held in a carrier body and the electric conductors are guided in conductor guide channels of a conductor guide component. When the carrier body and conductor guide component are joined together the electric conductors are contacted by the insulation displacement contacts. The carrier body and conductor guide component are joined by means of an assembly tool constructed as a half-shell housing, in which bevels are provided which cooperate with bevels on the conductor guide component, so when the carrier body and the conductor guide component are pressed together in the half-shell housing, the carrier body and conductor guide component are pressed together by mutual displacement on the bevels.

Connector with insulation displacement contacts

The invention relates to a plug-in jack comprising an insulating jack housing in which at least one jack contact is accommodated. The jack contact consists of a retaining part and a jack, the jack being mounted on the retaining part so as to be pivotable by a limited angle. The invention further relates to a plug part having an insulating plug housing in which there is accommodated at least one plug contact provided for engaging into the jack contact of the plug-in jack.
