A liquid composition, including a solvent, for printing with a binary deflected continuous jet printing technique, wherein upon printing the liquid composition form drops that are each: not charged by an electric field, have a zero electric charge, form a dipole under the effect of an electric field, and are then deflected by the electric field. The liquid composition has all the following characteristics: a conductivity at 20&#xb0; C. from 5 to 500 &#x3bc;S/cm, still preferably a conductivity at 20&#xb0; C. from 5 to 500 &#x3bc;S/cm, the value of 500 &#x3bc;S/cm being excluded, better a conductivity at 20&#xb0; C. from 5 to 400 &#x3bc;S/cm, still better a conductivity at 20&#xb0; C. from 30 to 400 &#x3bc;S/cm, for example from 30 to 200 &#x3bc;S/cm; a dynamic viscosity at 20&#xb0; C. from 1 to 25 cPs, preferably from 6 to 25 cPs; and a density from 0.8 to 2.5 g/cm3, preferably from 1.2 to 2.5 g/cm3.

A terminal for making a hydraulic, electrical, or optical connection in an ink jet printing machine. The terminal extends along an axis XX', and its external surface includes: a cylindrical portion, including a contact end and having a first diameter (d), this end being provided with hydraulic or electrical or optical connection structure. The external surface also includes a collar, having a diameter (d) higher than the first diameter (d), and a throat, the bottom of which has a cross-section, in a plane perpendicular to the axis XX&#x2032;, having at least one arc of circle portion having a third diameter (d) lower than that of the collar, at least one planar part, and a part of this cross-section having a width lower than the third diameter. The throat continues with a connection device, for connecting to at least one hydraulic conduit or one electrical cable or one optical fiber.

The invention relates to a method for controlling the ink quality of an ink jet printer, during printing, the printer comprising at least one ink reservoir () and a solvent or diluted ink reservoir (), a print head () and a supply circuit for sending ink and/or solvent to the print head, method in which: a correction volume of solvent, or diluted ink, to add to the ink to compensate a variation in viscosity of the latter is estimated; and a plurality of elementary quantities of solvent, or diluted ink, separated by ink, is sent to the print head, each of a volume comprised between 0.1 cmand 5 cm, the sum of the elementary quantities of solvent, or diluted ink, being substantially equal to the correction volume to add.
