In order to address a problem with the effectiveness of a brake booster device, provision is made for the latter to be produced in the form of hydraulic servo control. In such an instance, a master cylinder (-) of a braking circuit (-) is provided with a pressure chamber () upstream of the braking circuit. This pressure chamber is then subjected to an injection () of hydraulic fluid by a pump (). The pump is operated () according to the braking requirements. The servo control comprises a set of moving gear () sensitive to these requirements and that work an injection valve (-).

Hydraulic brake booster device

In order to prevent a vehicle fitted with braking assistance and trajectory correction devices and having a highly placed center of gravity from overturning in a bend when there is a sudden turn of the steering wheel at the same time as a sudden braking action, a hydraulic braking circuit comprising a hydraulic pump () which sucks a fluid contained in a reservoir () through a master cylinder (), is provided with a bladder (). The bladder, placed between the master cylinder and the hydraulic pump, reduces the duration of flow of the hydraulic fluid to the pump, ensuring a sufficient suction pressure at the entrance of the pump in order to cram the brake and cause the wheel having the most pressure to skid.

Hydraulic braking circuit

A method of detecting the braking of a vehicle comprising a push rod () intended to transmit an amplified braking command to a master cylinder. A plunger (), arranged parallel to the primary piston () so as to reproduce the movements of this piston, and a sensor () which senses the movements of the plunger (), this sensor () being fastened to the booster (), are used to detect a braking operation by detecting a movement of the plunger ().

The invention proposes a master cylinderwith a device for detecting actuation of a braking system. The detection device is fixed to a bodyof the master cylinderat a pressure chamber. The detection device comprises a magnetic circuitable to be opened and closed by a moving magnetic piece. The moving magnetic pieceis, for example, fixed to a pistonof the master cylinder. Actuation of a brake pedal causes the pistonand the moving pieceto advance in the master cylinder. The magnetic circuittherefore changes state (opened or closed). The change in state of the magnetic field switches the brake lights on and off.

Motor vehicle master cylinder with device for detecting actuation of a braking system

A sensor module including a processing unit, a stroke sensor and a force sensor () for obtaining data relating to both a force exerted on an axially-moving rod () and the travel of the rod through a determination of the position of the piston () with respect to the rod (). The sensor module is characterized by a first stationary electrical coil () that is arranged about the piston () and the rod () and a second moving electrical coil () that is disposed about the rod () and connected to the force sensor (). The first () and second () coils are coaxial and as a result induced oscillatory voltage within the stationary coil () generates an eddy current within the piston () that permit a measurement of the stroke of the piston () by means of eddy-current signal received by the stroke sensor using the piston () as a test body, and supplying the force sensor with electrical power through the second moving electrical coil (). A servobrake having a rigid jacket defined by a first shell joined to a second shell by through tie-bars to create variable volume front and rear chambers. The front chamber is permanently connected to a first pressure source whereas the rear chamber is selectively connected to the first pressure source and a second pressure source. The servobrake including a pressure sensor for the measurement of the pressure inside of the front and rear chambers. The pressure sensor is characterized by being attached to a front end of the through-tie bar whereas the tie-bar is characterized by a hollowed-out body with a hollow inner needle sealingly retained therein. The hollow inner needle defines a first chamber while a second chamber is defined by a space between the inner hollow needle and the hollowed-out body. The hollowed-out body has first ports therein for connecting the rear chamber with the first chamber through which pressure present in the rear chamber is transmitted to the pressure sensor. The hollowed-out body has second ports therein for connecting the front chamber with the second chamber through which pressure present in the front chamber is transmitted to the pressure chamber.
