There is provided a system and a method for displaying information related to a video feed on a user interface. The video feed corresponding to video captured by a video camera provided at a first location is received and displayed in a first region of the user interface, the user interface rendered on a display of a client device located remotely from the video camera. A video timeline associated with the video feed is displayed in a second region of the user interface. At least one user interface element is superimposed on at least the video timeline and is indicative of occurrence of at least one event associated with the video feed, a position of the at least one user interface element on the video timeline corresponding to a time of occurrence of the at least one event.

System and method for displaying video feed information on a user interface

User input is used to define different geographical locations and/or different time frames related to a plurality of events, At least one data source is queried to receive occurrence records corresponding to at least some of the plurality of events according to the different geographical locations and/or different time frames. The records having at least one field whose value matches are grouped to form at least one coincidence entity. A visual representation of the at least one coincidence entity is presented to the user.

Facilitating video monitoring of at least one location

Systems and methods for monitoring event through the use of occurrence records in order to take one or more actions are described herein. An occurrence record is received and processed. The occurrence record includes one or more parameters and are indicative of an event of a given type. The received occurrence record is compared to one or more trigger-based rules. When a trigger condition of a trigger-based rule is met, the trigger-based rule is executed. When one or more other conditions of the executed trigger-based rule is met, a command for an action is generated.

Occurrence-record driven monitoring system and method of use thereof

An area monitoring system and a method of merging occurrence records in an area monitoring system whereby occurrences are monitored or recorded in external databases. The method includes receiving a first occurrence record, indicative of an event; on the basis of the applicable correlation rule, identifying a set of databases to be queried; generating a query for data according to a respective protocol; generating a correlated dataset of occurrence records from at least a subset of the set of occurrence records and the first occurrence record; and displaying to a user a visual representation of the correlated dataset of occurrence records.

A security video monitoring client system and method of presenting feeds within the same are disclosed. Out-of-process renderer components executing outside the client program provide an important performance advantage, particularly as to the number of video feeds to decode and/or render that can be decoded. This external thread execution strategy likewise facilitates fault isolation, shielding the client from undesired effects arising from the termination, restarting, and/or any other action to be taken as a result of anomalous operation of any one or more out-of-process renderer components.
