In the method for manufacturing monocrystalline structures, parts or workpieces of metallic super-alloys on substrates with a monocrystalline structure or monocrystalline structures, the surface of the substrate is melted with an energy beam of high energy density from an energy source. The material which is to be introduced into the monocrystalline structure is supplied to the melted region of the substrate. The supplied material is completely melted. The energy input with the energy beam is regulated and/or controlled in such a manner that the speed of solidification and the temperature gradient lie in the dendritic crystalline region in the GV diagram, outside the globulitic region.

Method for producing monocrystalline structures

The laser welding device is used for welding or coating workpieces. The device includes a nozzle for feeding powder to the operating area of a workpiece for melting within a laser beam directed onto the workpiece. The axis of the laser beam and the axis for the direction of movement of the laser beam on the surface of the workpiece, as well as an axis mutually perpendicular to the two axes, define a coordinate system having an origin at the point of incidence (EL) of the laser beam on the surface of the workpiece. A controllable and adjustable device maintains the positions of the nozzle largely constant in the coordinate system even when the relative movement of the laser beam and the workpiece are complex. This enables weld joints and welded-arm layers of a complex form and a largely homogenous quality to be produced.

Laser welding device

A substrate based on aluminum (Al) is given a surface coating of aluminum (Al) and silicon (Si) and of at least one element X from the group iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn and chromium (Cr), the total proportion of elements X being 1 to 35 wt.%. Depending on the concentration (C) of elements X in wt.%, the minimum hardness over at least 50% of the coated surface, measured in HV 0.05, can be calculated from the formula;
