The invention concerns a protective headgear comprising a respirator () capable of being connected to a breathing mixture source, an eye protecting shield () and first () and second () lock elements, respectively located on the respirator () and on the shield () and adapted to co-operate with each other to secure the shield () to the respirator (), when the respirator is in its use position on the user's face, the first () and second () lock elements being adapted to be mutually engaged and interlocked by a movement bringing the shield () closer to the respirator (), from above.

Protective headgear equipment with respirator and optical shield

The device has a face cover, a mouth-and-nose mask, and fasteners for holding the face cover on the face. The face cover is provided with a flexible gasket surrounding the eyes, a sea means at its periphery, and a closable coupling to a filtered gas feed. The mouth-and-nose mask, placed inside the face cover, is fitted with a demand regulator and with a direct exhaust to atmosphere. The breathe-in and breathe-out paths are separated by cases.

Device for providing protection against hypoxia, usable in a hostile environment

The equipment has a helmet, a full face-cover fitted with fastenings for fixing it to the helmet, and with a coupling for connection to a breathable gas feed hose. It also has a flexible envelope extending the helmet and the face-cover downwards. For leakproof junction between the helmet, the face-cover and the envelope, a hoop is sealingly connected to the helmet. It has a lower branch which constitutes a closed bottom loop for receiving the envelope and a transverse branch having one side designed to sealingly receive the shell of the helmet and an opposite side which sealingly receives the face-cover. A plug rigidly fixed to the face-cover and placed in a vertical midplane of the face-cover, at the bottom thereof, engages a socket pivotally connected to the hoop. Lateral fasteners complete the connection.

Individual equipment for protection against NBC threats

The equipment is usable by a person exposed to NBC threats. It has a helmet, a face-cover provided with fastenings for connection to the helmet and with a coupling for a breathing gas feed or ventilation hose. A flexible envelope extends the helmet and the face-cover downwards. For providing sealed connection between the helmet, the face-cover, and the envelope, a hoop is fixed to the helmet in permanent or removable manner. It projects from the base of the helmet forwards. The top edge of the hoop receives the face-cover and the lower edge hoop receives the envelope in sealed manner.
