A rotor for an electric machine comprises a central core, arms extending radially relative to the core, these arms each comprising two rims extending on either side of the arms, permanent magnets positioned inside housings that are delimited by opposing lateral faces of adjacent arms, an outer face of the core extending between adjacent arms, and the rims of the arms of the rotor. Plates made from a material more flexible than the permanent magnets are positioned between the rims of the arms and the face of the permanent magnet facing away from the axis of the rotor to hold the magnets. The plate having, in the axial direction, a height close to the height of the permanent magnets, the ratio between the width of the plate and that of the magnet being between 0.9 and 1.1, without being equal to 1.

A synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets (). The synchronous electric motor includes a wound stator () having axially extending stator teeth () formed in a frame (), and a rotor () having a plurality of permanent magnets () extending axially in first recesses () of a cylinder head (). A dimensional ratio of a first outer diameter (D) of the rotor () to a second outer diameter (D) of the stator () is pre-determined so that the motor provides optimum efficiency. The dimensional ratio is pre-determined in such a way that the stator losses by Joule effect are reduced to a minimum. The synchronous electric motor is employed in electric compressors for motor vehicles.

Synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets

A rotor () comprising a plurality of alternating magnetic poles formed by permanent magnets () distributed regularly between a circumferential portion () and a central portion () of the magnetic body () of the rotor and defining circumferential pole sections (). The pole sections have a pre-determined pole pitch (Thetarho) and comprise a lobe-forming radial section (). The lobe-forming radial section partially covers the magnets, such as to maximize a useful magnetic flux (PhiU) flowing radially through each of the pole sections and to minimize a leakage magnetic flux flowing through the circumferential portion. The pole sections can have a pre-determined pole overlap angle (Thetar) such as to maximize the useful magnetic flux (PhiU) and to minimize the leakage magnetic flux (PhiL), said overlap angle (Thetar) being a viewing angle of the lobe () from a point on the axis of the rotor.

Rotor for a rotary electric machine and rotary electric machine comprising such a rotor

The rotor comprises of a plurality of alternating north poles (N) and south poles (S) formed from a plurality of permanent magnets () having a radial polygonal section and arranged in first recesses (). These first recesses extend axially and are distributed regularly between a circumferential portion () and a central portion () of the magnetic mass () of the rotor in such a way as to define a plurality of circumferential polar sections (). The radial section comprises a substantially rectangular portion () next to the circumferential portion adjacent to a substantially trapezoidal portion () next to the central portion. The rotor has a ratio (R) between a first height (h) of the trapezoidal portion and a second height (H) of the rectangular portion, in a radial direction, is predetermined in such a way as to maximize the efficiency of the electric machine.

A rotor () comprising a plurality of alternating magnetic poles formed by permanent magnets () distributed regularly between a circumferential portion () and a central portion () of the magnetic body () of the rotor and defining circumferential pole sections (). The circumferential portion comprises axial grooves () which are arranged between the pole sections facing the magnets and which form openings in recesses () containing the magnets. The openings have a pre-determined first width (a) such as to minimize a leakage magnetic flux (PhiL) flowing through the circumferential portion () and to maximize a useful magnetic flux (PhiU) flowing radially through each of the pole sections ().

The method according to the invention involves limiting the charging of a vehicle alternator by only authorizing progressive augmentation of a current duty cycle (DC) of an excitation signal () of the alternator from an initial duty cycle to an expected duty cycle (EpsU) calculated by a control loop () of the alternator. According to the invention, a complementary limitation of the charging of the alternator involves limiting the increase of the current duty cycle (DC) according to at least one parameter of the heat engine involving an angular acceleration (mot) and/or a rotation speed (Nmot) of the heat motor. In particular, this complementary limitation can additionally involve limiting the increase of the current duty cycle (DC) according to a negative value of the angular acceleration (mot).

Synchronous rotary electric machine having a double excitation rotor

A method of controlling a supercapacitor energy storage unit (), included in a motor vehicle micro-hybrid system, is disclosed. The storage unit is suitable for performing the functions of an alternator, starter and automatic stop-restart of the vehicle heat engine, regenerative braking and torque assistance. The energy storage unit () is a plurality of supercapacitor elementary cells connected in series (Cto C) and capable of delivering information (Vmax, Temp and DeltaV) on its internal status. The method includes various stages of: comparing a maximum elementary voltage (Vmax) with a first voltage threshold (Vmax); comparing a temperature (Temp) with at least one temperature threshold (ST=55&#xb0; C., ST=65&#xb0; C. and ST=70&#xb0; C.); and, deciding on limitations of the availability of functions of the unit when the (Vmax) information reaches threshold (Vmax) for a predetermined duration (T) and/or when the (Temp) information reaches the temperature threshold (ST=55&#xb0; C., ST=65&#xb0; C. and ST=70&#xb0; C.).

Method of controlling an energy storage unit in a vehicle micro-hybrid system

A method of controlling a supercapacitor energy storage unit (), included in a motor vehicle micro-hybrid system, is disclosed. Described is a micro-hybrid system for an automobile including: 1) a rotating electrical machine (i.e., a starter/alternator); 2) at least one power converter connectable to an electricity distribution network of the automobile, this network including a power storage unit; and, 3) a control circuit capable of controlling the power converter to provide a power supply current to the electricity distribution network. The system additionally provides a device associated with the control circuit for controlling, during a change of state between the states of providing and not providing the power supply current to the electricity distribution network, an at least partially gradual variation in a charge voltage generated by the power converter so as to obtain a corresponding gradual variation in a network voltage of the electricity distribution network from a first network voltage value to a second network voltage value, a duration of the variation between the first and second network voltage values being predetermined so as to eliminate a negative effect or consequences (surges, dimming of lights, etc.) of a state change on the electronic environment of the micro-hybrid system.

A synchronous rotating electrical machine is disclosed, of the type including a stator () and a rotor (). The rotor is of the flux concentration type and includes a plurality of alternate North and South poles formed from permanent magnets (PM). The magnets are housed in slots (E) arranged in the magnetic body of the rotor. The rotor includes, for each permanent magnet, a magnetic circuit allowing the circulation of a defluxing magnetic flux. This magnetic circuit has a magnetic reluctance of the defluxing circuit (R) determined as a function of an internal magnetic reluctance of the magnet (R) such that the ratio (R/R) of the magnetic reluctance of the defluxing circuit on the internal magnetic reluctance of the magnet (R) is within a range of predetermined values guaranteeing the magnet against a risk of demagnetization. This range of predetermined values is from approximately 0.3 to approximately 3 depending on the type of magnet.

The rotor is of the flux concentration type and includes a plurality of alternate North and South poles formed from permanent magnets (PM). The magnets are housed in slots (E) arranged in the magnetic body of the rotor. Each pole comprises a second slot (E) roughly radial and arranged in the magnetic body of the pole, between two consecutive magnets delimiting the pole. In accordance with the invention, each pole includes a portion forming a bridge (BR) between the magnetic bodies of the rotor, on either side of the second slot, this part forming a bridge including a magnetic body height not greater than approximately one times the dimensional value of the width of the permanent magnets.
