A device for searching for defects on parts that are masked, such as turbine engine blades, the device including a tubular sheath, a light-guide guiding light, an image-transmission mechanism transmitting images housed inside the sheath, an examination head at a distal end of the sheath including an illumination mechanism and an image-taking mechanism connected to the light-guide and to the image-transmission mechanism housed in the sheath, a mechanism spraying a succession of penetrant test materials on the part for inspection including a capillary slidably guided in a duct housed in the sheath, and a mechanism adjusting orientation of the examination head at the distal end of the sheath.

Device for searching for defects on parts by endoscopy

A bench for magnetoscopically testing a tubular part, the bench including a tool of elongate shape for inserting inside the part and carrying an endoscopic mechanism for ultraviolet illumination of the inside surface of the part and for observing any defects of the part, and an indexing mechanism co-operating by mutual engagement with external references of the tool that are regularly distributed over at least a fraction of its length to control accurately the advance and the position of the tool inside the part.

Bench and a method for magnetoscopically testing a turbine engine shaft

Apparatus for searching for and detecting defects on parts that are substantially inaccessible, being located behind a wall, the apparatus comprising a first endoscope for illumination in visible light and for observation, the first endoscope and pipes for feeding and spraying penetration test substances being housed together in a rod which can be passed through an orifice in the wall in order to examine a part, the apparatus further comprising a second endoscope independent of the first endoscope and the rod for illuminating in ultraviolet light and for observing the portion of the part that has been treated by the penetration test substances.
