Etching of coated substrate

A method for simulating the effects of the optical quality of windshield onto the image recording quality of a digital image recording device, in particular a digital image recording device for an advanced or automated driver-assistance system. The method is based on a combination of an adapted stochastic ray tracing method and of a convolutional image processing to simulate the effects of the optical distortions of a windshield on the image recording quality of a digital image recording device. The simulation is performed from a measured optical quality function of the windshields related to those optical distortions.

Method for simulating the effects of the optical quality of windshield

A composite laminate makes it possible to obtain transparent layered elements with diffuse reflection that can be used in esthetic and/or antireflection glazings, or even in transparent projection screens. The composite laminate includes an organic polymeric support, a layer and a first transparent organic polymeric substrate. The dielectric layer is disposed between the support and the substrate. The dielectric layer has a refractive index greater than the refractive index of the first substrate. The adhesive energy between the dielectric layer and the support is less than the adhesive energy between the dielectric layer and the substrate.

A computer implemented method for detecting and reading a barcode in an image of a marked glass substrate, the method taking as input a raster image of at least one portion of the marked glass substrate and providing as output an abstract image of the barcode, the method including (a) computing a probability occurrence θ of the barcode in the raster image with a first trained convolutional artificial neural network; (b) computing coordinates of representative points of a boundary of the barcode in the raster image-according to a given threshold σ for the probability occurrence θ computed at (a); (c) cropping the raster image to the boundary of the barcode according to the coordinates computed at (b), and (d) computing with a second trained convolutional artificial neural network a tensor of probabilities for each pixel of the cropped raster image, the tensor being the abstract image of the barcode.

Method for detecting and reading a matrix code marked on a glass substrate

A method for manually reading a code marked on an article having a first main face on a first side and a second main face, opposite the first main face, on a second side, wherein, with the article being fixed, a portable device equipped with an optical imaging system including at least one optical sensor is positioned on the first side of the article so as to place the optical sensor facing the code in a reading direction corresponding to the observation direction of the imaging system, and wherein, with the code being illuminated by a light source located on the second side of the article, at least one image of the code is acquired by the optical imaging system.

An acousto-optic imaging method in which light waves and unfocused acoustic waves having various directions of propagation m are emitted in a medium, by spatially modulating the amplitude of the ultrasonic transducers of an array of transducers according to several periodic spatial amplitude modulations j, and the resulting optical signal S(t) is captured. For each direction of propagation m, the signals S(t) are spatially demodulated in order to determine a signal S(t) used to reconstruct the image of the medium.
