A method for detecting buried longitudinal structures using a ground-penetrating radar, the method includes the steps of: acquiring a plurality of radar signals for a region of ground, determining, based on the radar signals, a 3D point cloud, each point corresponding to one radar detection and being geolocated in space, searching for at least one set of substantially aligned points in the 3D point cloud by: i. for each straight line among a set of straight lines of the 3D space, determining the number of points of the 3D point cloud that are located at a distance smaller than a predetermined minimum distance from the straight line, ii. determining at least one straight line for which the number of points is higher than a predetermined minimum detection threshold, the points located at a distance from this straight line smaller than said minimum distance characterizing a longitudinal structure.

A detection method for a MIMO system receiver in which a linear detection is carried out in order to provide an equalised vector. This equalised vector is represented in a reduced basis obtained from the reduction of the channel matrix. It undergoes an iterative noise cancellation process in the representation according to the reduced basis. Upon each iteration, a search is carried out for the component of the equalised vector in the reduced basis located the furthest from an area unperturbed by noise surrounding the product constellation with a tolerance margin, and the point representative of the equalised vector of this area by subtracting therefrom a noise vector in the direction of this component, the module whereof is equal to a fraction of the tolerance margin. The iterative cancellation converges when the equalised vector belongs to the area unperturbed by noise.

The present invention relates to a method for adapting a link using a polar-modulation (PQAM) constellation. It applies in particular to the communications in the sub-THz band, in which the oscillator of the receiver has phase fluctuations. In a PQAM-modulation constellation, the modulation symbols are distributed on concentric circles equidistant in the complex plane, each circle including the same number of symbols, the angular distribution of the symbols on a circle being uniform and identical regardless of the circle. An FBMC transmission/reception system wherein a phase pre-compensation and an amplitude pre-compensation are done on a block of modulation symbols. The symbol block thus compensated is segmented into a number M of sub-blocks equal to the number of carriers of an FBMC modulator. The sub-blocks are divided into vectors with size N/2 and padded with isolation zeroes to form padded vectors with size N. Each of these padded M is processed by an IFFT to give time sequences to which cyclic prefixes and suffixes are added. The resulting cyclic sequences are then input to the M input channels of the FBMC modulator. The reception symbols can be recovered at the receiver by a simple FFT with size NM/2.
