A display apparatus includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, and a cover panel including a window layer, an optical filter layer, a color filter layer and a bezel layer. The window layer includes a transmission region and a bezel region adjacent to the transmission region. The optical filter layer is disposed on the transmission region of the rear surface of the window layer. The color filter layer is disposed on the optical filter layer and includes a quantum dot. The bezel layer is disposed on the bezel region of the rear surface. The optical filter layer includes a partition wall layer, in which an opening is defined, a light-blocking layer disposed on the partition wall layer, and a reflection layer disposed in the opening. The bezel layer has a same color as the light-blocking layer.

Display apparatus and method of fabricating the same

A display device according to an embodiment may include a first substrate including an array of pixels, a second substrate coupled to the first substrate, and a sealing member between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second substrate may include a base substrate including a display area overlapping the array of pixels and a peripheral area around the display area; a first compensation structure in the peripheral area, on the base substrate, at least partially overlapping the sealing member, and including an organic material; a second compensation structure in the peripheral area, on the base substrate, spaced apart from the first compensation structure, at least partially overlapping the sealing member, and including the same material as that of the first compensation structure, and a first capping layer covering the first and second compensation structures and including an inorganic material.

Display device

A display panel includes an upper display substrate. The upper display substrate includes a base substrate and first to fourth color filters. The first and second color filters overlap first and second pixel areas. The third color filter overlaps a light-blocking area and a third pixel area and has a first opening and a second opening corresponding to the first pixel area and second pixel area, respectively. The fourth color filter overlaps the first pixel area and the second pixel area and has a third opening corresponding to the third pixel area.

Display panel

A display panel includes an upper substrate to which external light is incident, a sealing member which is in a non-display area and couples the upper substrate to a lower display substrate. The upper display substrate includes: a base substrate; a light shielding layer and filter layer each corresponding to the non-display area and absorbing a portion of external light which is transmitted through the base substrate at the non-display area, the filter layer and the light shielding layer having different colors from each other. In a first non-display area of the base substrate which corresponds to the sealing member, only one among the filter layer and the light shielding layer is disposed. In a second non-display area of the base substrate which is adjacent to the first non-display area, both the filter layer and the light shielding layer are disposed.

A display apparatus includes a first substrate; a bank on the first substrate, the bank including first openings, second openings, third openings, and auxiliary openings, wherein a thickness of a partition wall defining the first openings, the second openings, and the third openings is greater than a thickness of an auxiliary partition wall arranged in the auxiliary opening; a first quantum dot layer in the first openings; and a second quantum dot layer in the second openings.

A display device may include a first transistor, a second transistor, a first electrode, a second electrode, a first optical filter, and a second optical filter. No intervening transistor may be positioned between the first transistor and the second transistor. The first electrode may be electrically connected to the first transistor. The first optical filter may overlap the first electrode and may have a first circular perimeter in a plan view of the display device. A color filter panel includes: a base substrate having a first pixel area, a second pixel area, and a light blocking area between the first pixel area and the second pixel area; a first color filter on the base substrate in the first pixel area; a second color filter on the base substrate in the second pixel area; a first photoluminescence pattern on the first color filter in the first pixel area and configured to convert a color of light; and a second photoluminescence pattern on the second color filter in the second pixel area and configured to convert a color of light.
