An illumination device includes a substrate, a light emitting structure, a sealant, and a laminating board is provided. The light emitting structure includes a first electrode layer, a light emitting layer and a second electrode layer stacked on the substrate sequentially. The sealant covers the light emitting structure. The laminating board is attached to the substrate. The sealant is located between the laminating board and the substrate. The laminating board includes a carrier body, a metal layer and a plurality of pads. The metal layer is exposed at a first surface of the carrier body, is in contact with the sealant and shields an area of the light emitting layer of the light emitting structure. The pads are exposed at the first surface of the carrier body and electrically connected to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer. The metal layer is electrically isolated from the pads.

Illumination device and method of fabricating an illumination device

An organic light-emitting device includes a first substrate, a light-emitting structure layer, a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, a second substrate, first conduction members, a second conduction member and protection structures. The light-emitting structure layer is disposed on the first substrate. The first electrode layer is disposed on the light-emitting structure layer and includes pad-like patterns. The second electrode layer is disposed between the light-emitting structure layer and the first substrate. The second substrate is adhered on the first electrode layer and includes a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit includes a continuous pattern and contact portions. The first conduction members are connected between the first circuit and the first electrode layer. The second conduction member is connected between the second circuit and the second electrode layer. The protection structures respectively form open circuits or close circuits between the contact portions and the continuous pattern.

Organic light-emitting device

An inkjet printhead and a manufacturing method thereof. In the manufacturing method, a chip and a porous material are provided. A heating layer is formed on the chip. A conductive layer is formed on the heating layer, and includes a notch therein to define a heating area. A chamber for storing liquid is formed on the heating area, and includes a first side and a second side. The first side faces the heating area, and the second side is connected to the first side. The chamber is formed with an exit, from which the liquid is dispensed, on the second side. The porous material is disposed on the chamber, and the liquid flows to the chamber through the porous material.

Inkjet printhead and manufacturing method thereof

An operating process of an organic device includes performing a programming process and an erasing process. The programming process includes steps of applying a first positive bias from the first electrode to the second electrode on the organic device so that a conductive state of the organic device is switched to be a first turn-on state when the organic device is in a turn-off state and applying a negative bias from the first electrode to the second electrode on the organic device so that the conductive state of the organic device is switched to be a second turn-on state when the organic device is in the first turn-on state. The erasing process includes a step of applying a second positive bias from the first electrode to the second electrode on the organic device so that the conductive state of the organic device is switched to be the turn-off state.

Operating process of organic device

A method of fabricating a color organic electroluminescent display involves forming cathode electrodes on a substrate, and forming a first organic semiconductor layer having an electron-injection transporting property on the cathode electrodes. Solutions containing organic light-emitting material that can dissolve portions of the first organic semiconductor layer are patterned on the first organic semiconductor layer. Then, a solvent in the solutions is removed to form regions having second organic semiconductor layers and mixed organic semiconductor layers, wherein the second organic semiconductor layers are formed on the first organic semiconductor layer and are mostly composed of the organic light-emitting material, and the mixed organic semiconductor layers, composed of the organic light-emitting material and material constituting the first organic semiconductor layer, are embedded in the first organic semiconductor layer. Anode electrodes are formed over the first and second organic semiconductor layers. The present invention also provides a color organic electroluminescent display.

Color organic electroluminescent display and method for fabricating the same

A transmitting-type liquid crystal display projection system including a planar light source which emits planar white beam or planar R/G/B beams in succession is provided. A first polarization filter receives the planar light source and polarizes the same to be in a first polarization state. A liquid-crystal light valve receives the polarized planar light source, and converts the first polarization state to a second polarization state having a corresponding gray level. A second polarization filter receives a light output from the liquid crystal light valve to produce a second polarization light beam. A projection unit projects the second polarization light beam onto a display plane. Using the same planar light source, a polarization beam splitting (PBS) device with a refection-type liquid crystal light valve can be used to achieve the reflection-type projection system.

High efficiency liquid crystal display projection system

A micro device and manufacturing method thereof. The micro device includes a substrate, an insulation layer, and a solution. The insulation layer is disposed on the substrate to define a channel portion and an extension portion communicated with the channel portion. The solution is location in the channel portion. Part of the solution flows to the extension portion by capillary force between the channel portion and the extension portion.

Micro device and manufacturing method thereof

An inkjet cartridge for dispensing a predetermined amount of reagents is provided. The inkjet cartridge comprises an inkjet print head and an array of capillary tubes. The print head is provided with a plurality of channels. The capillary tubes, filled with predetermined reagents, are disposed on the inkjet print head so as to communicate with the channels respectively and provide capillarity sufficient to prevent the reagents in the capillary tubes from leaking through the channels but not so great as to prevent the reagents in the capillary tubes from dispensing through the channels.

Multi-reagent inkjet cartridge

A method and apparatus for manufacturing biochips. The apparatus includes a conveying device and a series of dispensers positioned at a series of dispensing positions above the conveying device. At least one substrate is disposed on the conveying device, and the conveying device successively moves each substrate below the series of dispensers. Each of the dispensers has a plurality of nozzles facing the substrate. Each of the nozzles dispenses a predetermined reagent onto the substrate; a plurality of reagents is dispensed on the substrate at each dispensing position.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing biochip

A porous back-shooting inkjet print head module is disclosed. The ink permeates through the porous ink supply layer into an ink chamber in contact with the outside by an injection hole, and the porous ink supply layer prevents the ink from flowing back. Therefore, the ink chamber is sealed very well and more pressure could be generated. The invention can thus be used for inks with high viscosities. It does not need a precision alignment process as in the prior art. This does not only increase the efficiency and yield of production, but also reduces the cost.

Porous back-shooting inkjet print head module and method for manufacturing the same

A micro-dispenser for dispensing predetermined amounts of fluids under the control of a controller. The micro-dispenser comprises a base and a high-density array of tube assemblies. The base, having a plurality of holes, is electrically connected to the controller. The tube assemblies, pre-filled with predetermined fluids, are detachably disposed in the holes and separately electrically connected to the base. The tube assemblies dispense the fluids through the base under the control of the controller. The tube assemblies are replaceable.

Micro-dispenser for biochemical analysis

A MOSFET and the method for fabricating them are disclosed to make the inkjet head chips. The MOSFET has the scaled-down junction formation for the source and drain. Using a lower temperature process and interlayer dielectric, the source and drain dopants can not be diffused deeply due to high-temperature driver-in. The contact holes of the drain are provided with plugs of refractory material to avoid spiking between the metal and silicon. This achieves the requirement of high-density devices on the print head chip.

Metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETS) used in ink-jet head chips and method for making the same

A driver transistor structure of an inkjet print head chip and the method for making the same. Having several body contacts distributed all over the source of an active region of a large area MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor), an equivalent R from the MOSFET channel to the body contact is greatly diminished as the distance between them is reduced, thereby preventing the occurrence of a secondary breakdown. Since the body contact is installed inside the active region without defining in advance a body contact region and making the body contact in the field oxide layer outside the active region, about 20% of the driver transistor structure can be saved to lower the average manufacturing cost of each chip.

Driver transistor structure of inkjet print head chip and the method for making the same

A manufacturing method of monolithic integrated thermal bubble inkjet print heads and the structure for the same. The method utilizes semiconductor manufacturing technologies to configure various elements in a thermal bubble inkjet print head, such as ink channels, an ink slot, an energy transducer, an orifice plate, on a single substrate. The ink channels are formed on an top surface of the substrate using the anisotropic etching technique. The ink slot is formed on a back surface of the substrate using the anisotropic etching technique. The energy transducer and the orifice plate are formed in order above the ink channels using the coating and etching techniques. This thermal bubble inkjet print head manufacturing method is particularly useful in the all batch process without employing the steps of precision alignment joint for the orifice plate in a conventional inkjet print head. Therefore, the method can greatly increase production efficiency and lower production costs.
