Provided is a method for recycling supercritical waste liquid and a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket capable of reducing the production costs and preventing the deterioration in thermal insulation performance of a silica aerogel blanket, the method including adding sulfuric acid to supercritical waste liquid to remove ammonium ions in the form of ammonium sulfate salt, the ammonium ions which are present in the supercritical waste liquid, and reusing supercritical waste liquid from which the ammonium ions are removed.

Provided is a method of preparing a metal oxide-silica composite aerogel and a metal oxide-silica composite aerogel having an excellent weight reduction property prepared by the method. The method comprises adding an acid catalyst to a first water glass solution to prepare an acidic water glass solution (step 1); adding a metal ion solution to the acidic water glass solution to prepare a precursor solution (step 2); and adding a second water glass solution to the precursor solution and performing a gelation reaction (step 3).

Method of preparing metal oxide-silica composite aerogel and metal oxide-silica composite aerogel prepared by the same

Provided is a method for producing hydrophobic silica aerogel granules and hydrophobic silica aerogel granules produced thereby, the hydrophobic silica aerogel granules having a suppressed level of specific surface area deterioration and scattering properties. In the method for producing the hydrophobic silica aerogel granules, surface modification, gelation, and solvent substitution can be simultaneously performed in one step, thereby decreasing production time and increasing productivity. Also, by adjusting the addition amount of a non-polar organic solvent when proceeding with a reaction, hydrophobic silica aerogel granules with suppressed scattering properties can be produced. In addition, the hydrophobic silica aerogel granules are silica aerogel particles induced to agglomerate with each other through physical bonding, so that there is an advantage in that the granules can be easily changed into a powder form, thereby having excellent industrial applicability.

The present invention relates to a method for recycling supercritical waste liquid generated during a process of producing a silica aerogel blanket, and a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket reusing supercritical waste liquid recycled thereby. More particularly, the present invention provides a method for recycling supercritical waste liquid and a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket capable of reducing the production costs and preventing the deterioration in thermal insulation performance of a silica aerogel blanket by adding a metal salt to the supercritical waste liquid by the recycling method.

Provided is a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket, the method comprising recovering and reusing a supercritical waste liquid generated after a supercritical drying process. Without putting in additional equipment investments or energy, supercritical waste liquid recovered after a supercritical drying process can be reused by lowering the content of ammonium ions (NH) present therein through a simple adjustment of the conditions for the supercritical drying process. The apparatus of manufacturing the aerogel sheet includes: a fixing vessel into which a blanket is inserted; and an impregnation device putting a silica sol precursor into the blanket inserted into the fixing vessel to impregnate and gelate the silica sol precursor, wherein the impregnation device includes a rotation roller moving from one end to the other end of a top surface of the blanket while rotating to put the stored silica sol precursor into the blanket and thereby to impregnate and gelate the silica sol precursor.

An apparatus for manufacturing an aerogel sheet including: a supply roller around which a blanket is wound to form a roll; a conveyor belt transferring the blanket wound around the supply roller from one side to the other side thereof; a silica sol supply member injecting the silica sol to a surface of the blanket disposed on the conveyor belt to impregnate the blanket with silica sol; a catalyst supply member injecting a gelling catalyst to the surface of the blanket impregnated with silica sol to gelate the silica sol; a collection roller winding the blanket, which is transferred up to the other side by the conveyor belt, in the form of a roll; and a reaction vessel which accommodates the roll-shaped blanket collected by the collection roller and in which the accommodated blanket is aged, modified by injecting a coating solution, or dried at a high temperature.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing aerogel sheet

Provided are a method of preparing a metal oxide-silica composite aerogel, and a metal oxide-silica composite aerogel having an excellent weight reduction property prepared by the method. The method includes a step of adding an acid catalyst to a first water glass solution to prepare an acidic water glass solution (step 1); a step of adding a metal ion solution to the acidic water glass solution to prepare a precursor solution (step 2); and a step of adding a second water glass solution to the precursor solution and performing a gelation reaction (step 3) to yield a metal oxide-silica composite wet gel, wherein, in steps 2 and 3, bubbling of an inert gas is performed during the adding of the metal ion solution or the second water glass solution, respectively.

Provided is a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket and an apparatus for producing the same, which are capable of easily controlling the physical properties of a silica aerogel blanket by separately injecting silica sol and a gelation catalyst to control gelation time, improving aerogel pore structure to be uniform and improving thermal insulation performance by sufficiently and uniformly impregnating the silica sol and the gelation catalyst into a blanket, reducing the loss of silica sol and gelation catalyst by allowing the silica sol and the gelation catalyst to pass on an ascending slope before gelation to remove any excessive silica sol and gelation catalyst exceeding an appropriate impregnation amount, and providing a silica aerogel blanket having less process trouble, and less dust.

The system for preparing silica aerogel according to the present invention comprises a raw material supply part transferring at least one raw material of de-ionized water, water glass, a surface modifier, an inorganic acid, and an organic solvent to a mixing part, the mixing part mixing the raw materials transferred from the raw material supply part to produce silica wet gel, a drying part drying the silica wet gel to produce the silica aerogel, a recovery part recovering a portion of the vaporized raw material of the raw materials used in at least one of the mixing part and the drying part, and a heat transfer part transferring heat to at least one of the mixing part and the drying part, wherein the system further comprises a pulverizing part that pulverizes the raw material from the row material supply part to the mixing part.

A method for producing a plate type metal-silica composite aerogel and a plate type metal-silica composite aerogel produced thereby in which the metal salt concentration and the basic catalyst concentration are adjusted to form a plate type intermediate first, and then an appropriate amount of a water glass solution is added, thereby enabling the plate type metal-silica composite aerogel to be produced in a short time under conditions of low temperature and atmospheric pressure, so that the process is simpler than the conventional production method, and the cost is reduced, which is excellent in economy. Also provided is a plate type metal-silica composite aerogel, which is produced by the claimed method and has excellent dispersibility that requires no additional surface modifier.
