An ejector system for ejecting/separating a store, such as a weapon, from a launch platform includes a pair of spring assemblies that each include nested springs that are contained in a housing when the spring assemblies are in a compressed configuration. To separate the store from the aircraft the spring assemblies each move from the initial compressed configuration to an extended configuration, using the potential energy stored in the springs when compressed. The extension of the springs extends the springs mostly out of the spring assembly housings, extending telescoped sleeves of the spring assemblies. The extension of the spring assemblies provides a safe and steady way of separating the store from the launch platform, while having the advantages of being reusable, low cost and low weight, not producing any debris, and providing a softer push than may be produced by other separation mechanisms, such as the use of pyrotechnic devices.

A pressurization device for pressurizing an enclosure may include a container containing a pressurized fluid, a pin that is inserted into the container, an actuator, and a heating device operably coupled to the actuator. The actuator may initially hold the pin in a closed position and allow the pin to move to an open position, disengaging from the container when the actuator increases in temperature. The pressurized fluid may force the pin toward the open position to release the pressurized fluid from the container. The actuator may include a frangible hollow bulb configured to fracture at a pre-defined temperature. The pressurized fluid may be vented into the enclosure through at least one fluid passage in fluid communication between the enclosure and the container.

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an apparatus includes a sleeve configured to surround a hard drive. The sleeve includes a side portion, a bottom portion, a top portion, a front portion, and a back portion. At least one of the side portion, the bottom portion, the top portion, the front, or the back portion is made of an elastomeric material configured to absorb a portion of shock or vibration from being imparted on the hard drive. Additionally, at least one of the side portion, the top portion, or the bottom portion is tapered.

A shielding apparatus connectable between a circuit board and a connector having pins connectable to the circuit board is provided. The shielding apparatus includes a wall element defining opposite sides and connection locations respectively connectable with the connector and the circuit board and is configured as an electro-magnetic interference skirt to block radiation emanating from and receivable by the pins.

In certain embodiments, a mounting apparatus includes one or more standoffs adapted to maintain two panels at a spaced apart distance from one another. The standoff includes a first end having a first threaded fastening member and a second end having a cavity in which a torque restraining member is disposed. The torque restraining member is coupled to a second threaded fastening member. The relative sizes of the torque restraining member and the cavity allow movement of the torque restraining member within the cavity.

According to one embodiment, an electronic flight bag mounting system a cockpit mounting member coupled to an electronic flight bag mounting member. The cockpit mounting member is configured to mount to a cockpit of an aircraft, while the electronic flight bag mounting member is configured to be coupled to an electronic flight bag. The electronic flight bag mounting member is movable from a deployed position in which a display of the electronic flight bag faces a cockpit seat configured in the cockpit to a storage position in which the electronic flight bag faces away from the cockpit seat.

According to one embodiment, a center pedestal display includes a plurality of mounting faces and a high-resolution screen. The plurality of mounting faces include a first mounting face that is substantially parallel with a first surface of a pedestal mounting block of an existing instrument pedestal and a second mounting face that is substantially parallel with a second surface of the pedestal mounting block, the second surface intersecting the first surface at an angle such that the first surface is not parallel to the second surface. The existing instrument pedestal includes one or more pedestal gauges and one or more pedestal switches. The high-resolution screen is configured to display information comprising at least some information provided by the one or more pedestal gauges. The high-resolution screen is approximately 6&#xd7;8 inches and has a resolution of at least 1024&#xd7;768 pixels.

In accordance with the teachings of the present disclosure, systems and methods for aligning blind-mate connectors are provided. In one embodiment, a system comprises an avionics processing canister that is coupled to a mounting block. The avionics processing canister comprises a first portion of a first blind-mate connector, and a face plate with a surface that defines a pin-hole and a slot. The slot has a short dimension substantially equal to the diameter of the pin-hole and a long dimension perpendicular to the short dimension. The long dimension is longer than the short dimension. The system also comprises a first fastener that is received through the pin-hole and then into a first hole defined by a surface of the mounting block. The pin-hole has a diameter that is substantially equal to an outer diameter of the first fastener. The system also comprises a second fastener that is received through the slot and then into a second hole defined by a surface of the mounting block. The slot is oriented such that the second fastener constrains rotation of the face plate about a center of the pin-hole to align the first portion of the first blind-mate connector to a second portion of the first blind-mate connector.

A device includes an adapter having a number of holes and a number of threaded studs. The holes are arranged in a spaced apart pattern corresponding to a bolt pattern of a legacy cockpit display unit. The threaded studs are arranged in a spaced apart pattern similar to a bolt pattern of a display unit.

According to one embodiment, a bracket configured to hold a pressure transducer comprises a body, a face plate, and one or more pressure fitting connectors. The body has a rear portion and a front portion that meet to form an angle less than 180 degrees. The face plate is coupled to the front portion of the body, and has a surface defining a plate aperture configured for a cable to pass through. The pressure fitting connectors are coupled to the rear portion of the body. Each pressure fitting connector is configured to receive a pressure hose.

The lower bracket may be configured to mate with the upper bracket. The upper bracket and the lower bracket may combine to define a plurality of holes. The plurality of holes may be sized to at least partially enclose a set of discrete conductors. Each of the set of discrete conductors may be individually insulated.

According to one embodiment, a pedestal canister includes a housing, one or more processing modules, and one or more aircraft interfaces. The housing is configured to be disposed within a pedestal aperture of a pedestal mounting block. The one or more processing modules are disposed within the body and at least one processing module is configured to facilitate an operation of an associated aircraft instrument. The one or more aircraft interfaces include an aircraft interface configured to couple a processing module to the associated aircraft instrument.

The existing instrument pedestal includes one or more pedestal gauges and one or more pedestal switches. According to one embodiment, a housing for a pedestal canister includes a first side plate and a fan. The first side plate includes a plurality of fins disposed on an exterior portion of the first side plate. The fan is coupled to the exterior portion of the first side plate. The pedestal canister is configured to be disposed within a pedestal aperture of a pedestal mounting block.
