Disclosed herein is a method of producing a product comprising C2-C5 hydrocarbons and C6-C18 hydrocarbons comprising the steps of: a) converting synthesis gas to the product comprising C2-C5 hydrocarbons and C6-C18 hydrocarbons in a first reactor; b) removing the product comprising C2-C5 hydrocarbons and C6-C18 hydrocarbons from the first reactor; c) reintroducing the C6-C18 hydrocarbons into the first reactor and/or introducing the C6-C18 hydrocarbons into a cooling jacket of the first reactor; and d) performing an exothermic reaction in the first reactor, thereby transferring heat from the exothermic reaction to the C6-C18 hydrocarbons, thereby storing heat in the C6-C18 hydrocarbons.

Method related to heat transfer for exothermic reactions

The present disclosures and inventions relate to a catalyst composition for the selective conversion of a hydrogen/carbon monoxide mixture (syngas) to C2+ hydrocarbons. The composition includes a catalyst having the formula CoMnSiO, wherein the molar ratio of x is from about 0.8 to about 1.2; wherein the molar ratio of y is from about 0.1 to about 1.0; and wherein the molar ratio of z is a number determined by the valence requirements of Co, Mn, and Si wherein the catalyst has a Scherrer crystallite size of less than about 40 nm, wherein the Si is silica.

Catalyst and method related thereto for synthesis of hydrocarbons from syngas

The present disclosures and inventions relate to a catalyst or catalyst composition and the methods of making and using the catalyst or catalyst composition. In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a catalyst composition that includes a catalyst having the formula CCOand a catalyst support; a) Cis CoMnX, wherein X comprises Si, Ti, Cu, Zns Pd, or La or a combination thereof; a ranges from 0.8 to 1.2; b ranges from 0.1 to 1; and d ranges from 0 to 0.5; and b) Cis NiCuMgSi, wherein e ranges from about 0.8 to 1.2; f ranges from 0 to 1; h ranges from 0 to 0.5; and m ranges from 0 to 0.5; wherein Ois determined by the valence requirements of the other elements present, wherein in the catalyst support consists essentially of magnesia, alumina, silica, titanic, carbon, or zeolite, or a combination thereof; and wherein the catalyst composition converts synthesis gas to at least one olefin.
