An assembly includes a front console. The assembly includes a body having a reaction surface and supported by the front console. The assembly includes an actuator connected to the body, the body movable by the actuator to a deployed position. The assembly includes an airbag supported by the front console and inflatable to an inflated position that abuts the reaction surface. The assembly includes an inflator connected to the airbag.

Systems and methods are provided for preventing foreign objects from entering a nozzle of a pressure sensor. Example pressure sensor assemblies include a housing for a pressure sensor, a nozzle coupled to the housing and configured to permit airflow into the housing, and a nozzle cover including a plurality of surface openings configured to permit airflow into the nozzle. Other example assemblies include a shield enclosing a nozzle of the pressure sensor, the shield including a plurality of surface openings to permit airflow into the nozzle, and an attachment mechanism configured to couple the shield to an open end of the nozzle.

Embodiments include a vehicle comprising a user interface, a first sensor coupled to a child seat for detecting a child seat belt status; a gear selector for selecting a vehicle gear, and a processor communicatively coupled to the first sensor and the gear selector, and configured to cause the user interface to present a first notification if a first alarm condition is detected based on the child seat belt status and a selected gear. Embodiments also include a method of providing child seat monitoring in a vehicle, the method comprising receiving a gear position from a vehicle gear selector, receiving a child seat belt status from a first sensor coupled to a vehicle child seat, and presenting a first notification using a vehicle user interface if the gear position is a non-park position and the child seat belt status is unbuckled.

A motor vehicle license plate mounting bracket includes a substantially planar body defining an A surface and an opposite B surface and one or more resilient members disposed on the body B surface. The bracket body further includes a sidewall having one or more resiliency-imparting notches or grooves therein. Fascia assemblies including the license plate mounting bracket are described.

Embodiments include a protective cover for a control module mounted to a vehicle surface using attachment mechanisms that extend perpendicularly from the vehicle surface. The protective cover comprises a rigid top portion having a top surface and four sidewalls configured to cover the control module and engage the vehicle surface. The protective cover also comprises a plurality of insets molded into at least two of the sidewalls, each inset configured to receive a respective attachment mechanism. Embodiments also include an apparatus for protecting a control module mounted to a vehicular surface using a plurality of attachment mechanisms. The apparatus comprises a rigid top structure configured to completely cover the control module and a flexible gasket coupled to a bottom edge of the top structure and configured to removably engage the vehicular surface surrounding the control module in a fluid-tight seal.

A vehicle system includes a processing device programmed to monitor an operating state of a vehicle and the operation of at least one subsystem module. Depending on the operating state of the vehicle, the processing device can detect a subsystem module failure. If a failure is detected, the processing device can perform a remedial action. The remedial action taken may be based on the type of failure detected.

A fascia assembly including a bumper beam, a bumper cover, and a sensor assembly is provided. The sensor assembly may include a bracket and a sensor. The sensor assembly is disposed between the beam and cover. The bracket may define a base bonded to a surface of the cover and a key hole. The sensor may include a connector, clip, and key for the hole. The sensor may be configured to rotate between first and second positions such that the clip prevents connector access in the first but not the second position.

A fascia assembly may include a fascia having an inner surface, a sensor assembly including a housing integrated with the inner surface, a sensor having a connector, and a lever rotatably attached to the sensor. The lever may be configured to selectively rotate between first and second positions when inserted into the housing, and may include a tab to prevent mating access to the connector when the lever is in the first position but not in the second position.

An automotive vehicle fascia assembly is provided. The fascia assembly includes a bumper cover and an impact sensor assembly attached to, without mechanically fastening, the bumper cover. The sensor assembly includes a housing configured to selectively rotate from a first position to a second position, a sensor disposed within the housing, and a wall preventing access to the sensor when the housing is in the first position. The sensor is accessible when the housing is in the second position.
