A cloud deployment appliance includes a mechanism to enable permitted users to move event records reliably from an internal event log of the appliance to a data store located external to the appliance while ensuring the integrity of event records. The mechanism ensures that the event records are not tampered with in storage or during download. Further, the approach ensures that no event records can be removed from the appliance internal storage before being successfully downloaded to the external data store.

A method and system for sending rich media. In a preferred embodiment, a document containing rich media is parsed using preset filtering options to determine a subset of the document containing rich media that is intended to be sent to a recipient. The document containing rich media and filtering instructions are then sent to a document server. The filtering instructions instruct the document server as to the identity of the subset of the document containing rich media. The entire document containing rich media is stored on the document server, but only the subset of the rich media is copied and sent to an intended recipient.

Method and system for subsetting rich media in a peer-to-peer model

A system and method for building and linking an interpretive procedure so as to enable a compiled computer program to invoke the interpretive procedure are described herein. A target object code is modified to include information identifying files associated with the interpretive procedure. A compiled representation of the interpretive procedure is generated by linking together adapter code, the modified target object code, and an interpreter. The compiled representation of the interpretive procedure is invocable by a compiled computer program. The adapter code is in binary and includes an interpreter command module. The interpreter command module when executed causes the interpreter to load and interpretively execute the files associated with the interpretive procedure. The adapter code also includes a parameter conversion module, which converts the parameter list to the interpretive computer language of the interpretive procedure.
