A method in an SGSN of a GPRS/UMTS network for wireless communications including a mobile node, the SGSN, a GGSN, an HLR, an SMS-G and a SMS-SC includes introducing a delay after a mobile node has attached and is connected to allow the delivery of SMS messages before initiating tear down procedures to place the mobile node in a standby mode of operation by tearing down the signaling links between the mobile node and the SGSN. Generally, the inventive process performed by the SGSN includes receiving, from the mobile node, an initial UE (attach request) message to establish a signaling link, authenticating the mobile node to determine whether to allow it to attach to the network, accepting and completing the attach, informing the HLR that the mobile node is attached and delaying the tear down of the signaling links for a period sufficient to enable the SMS-SC to deliver any queued SMS messages.

Method of SMS message transfer after GPRS attach

Electronic devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for remote and/or automated monitoring of temperature, humidity, or other factors in a building during a remediation project, such as after a flood or mold infestation. These devices comprise sensors devices that can be distributed around a room or building, for transmitting data to a processor such as a laptop computer. Using telephone, cell phone, or internet connections, the processor can transmit compiled data to a website or remote computer, for analysis and use by a project supervisor. Sensor-switch devices also are disclosed for turning fans, dehumidifiers, or other equipment on or off. Using a telephone, cell phone, or internet connnection, a project supervisor at any location can download information, obtain current status information, and turn equipment on or off as needed.

Devices and systems for remote and automated monitoring and control of water removal, mold remediation, and similar work

Featured is a method and system for cleaning abrasive sanding and/or planing media, for example sandpaper, wide belt sanding belts, planers, grinding wheels or other abrasive surfaces while the media is either in-situ in the sanding, planing, grinding equipment or when removed. Additionally, the cleaning featured method and system can clean the media while the abrasive media is being used as well as when the abrasive media is not being used. In the cleaning method dry ice (CO.sub.2, solid carbon dioxide) particles are propelled towards the abrasive surface at a high velocity so the dry ice particles impact on the surface of the abrasive media at a high velocity. Additionally, the dry ice (CO.sub.2, solid carbon dioxide) particles are propelled as to impact the abrasive surface at varying angles and locations as necessary to effectively clean the abrasive surface. Further, the dry ice particles are propelled towards the abrasive media when it is in motion, for example rotating, so the dry ice particles impact the abrasive media at different locations of the media. The method and system allow the abrasive media to be cleaned while the abrasive media is being used for its' intended purpose. Thereby reducing equipment downtime usually associated with cleaning and/or changing the abrasive media due to becoming dirty and/or worn.

Process using in-situ abrasive belt/planer cleaning system

This invention relates to a carbon dioxide blast cleaning system for propelling dry-ice pellets by cryogens, namely high pressure nitrogen, helium and/or oxygen, against a surface being cleaned. Carbon dioxide pellets, in a pellet hopper, a blast unit and a blast gun are located at a blast site near the surface being cleaned. A portable cryogenic liquid nitrogen, liquid helium and/or liquid air tank with an ambient air vaporizer is also located at or near the blast site. Cryogenic liquid nitrogen, liquid helium and/or oxygen flow through the ambient air vaporizer to the liquid and is vaporized to form a high pressure gas. The high pressure, cryogenic gas is then brought into the blast unit and mixed with the pellets. The mixture of the high pressure gas and the pellets exit the gun nozzle at high velocities to blast the surface being cleaned.

Blast cleaning system

This invention relates to carbon dioxide blase cleaning system. In the present invention, the propelling of the dry-ice pellets is provided by cryogens, namely liquid nitrogen and/or liquid oxygen supplied under high pressure. In a preferred embodiment liquid carbon dioxide pellets are placed into a pellet hopper and a portable liquid nitrogen and/or liquid air storage tank is employed. The pellet hopper and the blast unit and blast gun(s) are located at the blast site, the portable cryogenic liquid nitrogen and/or liquid air tank with an ambient air vaporizer are located at or near the blast site. In this invention, as distinguished from the prior art, all the equipment and material for cleaning is located near the blast site and there is only one hose running to the nitrogen supply, there are no cables or hoses running to a truck air compressor or generator located away from the blast site. Pellets from the hopper are fed into the blast gun(s) through a blast unit. Cryogenic liquid nitrogen and/or oxygen is caused to pass through an ambient air vaporizer to vaporize the liquid gases and build such gases up to high pressure. The cryogenic gas under high pressure is then brought into the blast gun containing the pellets as aforesaid to effect propulsion of the pellets at high velocities through the gun nozzle to blast the surface or surfaces to be cleaned.
