Systems and methods are provided to allocate application tasks to a pool of processing machines. According to some embodiments, a requestor generates a scope request including an indication of a number of compute units to be reserved. The requestor also provides an application request associated with the scope. A subset of available processing machines may then be allocated to the scope, and the application request is divided into a number of different tasks. Each task may then be assigned to a processing machine that has been allocated to the application request. According to some embodiments, each task is associated with a deadline. Moreover, according to some embodiments an overall cost is determined and then allocated to the requestor based on the number of compute units that were reserved for the scope.

It is then arranged for the content reader to receive an indication of a document tag in accordance with the set of content selection tags. For example, a content controller may retrieve one or more documents based on a set of content selection tags and document tags and transmit indications of the retrieved documents to a content reader via a Web site.

Systems and methods are provided to model financial transactions. According to some embodiments, simple events, branch events, composite events, and/or contingent events associated with a financial transaction are defined. The events may then be used to automatically manage the transaction during the transaction's lifecycle. In one embodiment, at least one simple event associated with an asset transfer is defined, including a transfer amount and a transfer date. At least one branch event associated with a set of simple events is also defined, including a branch date and a branch selector. In addition, at least one composite event associated with a plurality of the simple events or branch events is defined. The transaction may then be automatically managed during the transaction's lifecycle based at least in part on the simple events, the branch events, and the composite events.

Network preference information is adjusted based on the characteristic. In some embodiments, network activity is network activity by a client device such as a computer accessing a network site.

Systems and methods are provided to facilitate access to documents via one or more entitlement rules. According to one embodiment, a document tag associated with a document is determined. For example, a content controller may determine a document tag based on information received from a content publisher. A content selection tag associated with a content reader is also determined. It is then arranged for the content reader to receive information associated with the document based on the document tag, the content selection tag, and one or more entitlement rules.

Systems and methods for facilitating access to documents via an entitlement rule

Systems and methods are provided to facilitate access to documents via associated tags. According to one embodiment, a first document tag is initially assigned to a document. For example, an author may review a document and indicate which document tag should be assigned to the document. An associated tag for the document is then automatically determined based on the first document tag. For example, a pre-determined tag association may be used to determine the associated tag based on the first document tag. The author may then review the associated tag to determine whether or not the associated tag should be also assigned to the document.
