A method may include causing a model, including a set of core model elements and a set of diagnostic model elements, to be executed. The set of diagnostic model elements may be associated with a conditional trigger-point. The conditional trigger-point may be associated with a condition of the model for triggering the conditional trigger-point. The method may include determining that the condition of the model has been satisfied. The method may include causing the set of diagnostic model elements to be displayed via a user interface based on determining that the condition of the model has been satisfied. The set of diagnostic model elements may not have been displayed, during execution of the model, prior to determining that the condition of the model has been satisfied.

Tentative model components

A device may identify a primary model element of a set of model elements. The device may select one or more secondary model elements of the set of model elements. The one or more secondary model elements may be associated with the primary model element. The device may consolidate the one or more secondary model elements into a representation of the one or more secondary model elements. The representation of the one or more secondary model elements may be associated with the primary model element. The device may selectively de-consolidate the representation of the one or more secondary model elements based on detecting at least one of a user interaction or a run-time event.

Clarity in model-based design

A system and method predicts one or more next steps during the construction or editing of a graphical model having executable semantics. The one or more next steps being valid actions according to the executable semantics and/or syntax of the graphical model. The system and method presents ghost versions of the one or more next steps on a display of the graphical model. In response to user selection of a given ghost version, the system and method changes the selected ghost version into a completed action at the graphical model. The system and system may also update an in-memory representation of the graphical model with the completed action. The in-memory representation supporting execution of the graphical model.

Systems and methods for constructing and modifying computer models

A device may determine one or more conditional parameters associated with determining whether a condition is satisfied during execution of a program. The one or more conditional parameters may vary over time. The device may execute the program to generate one or more execution parameters corresponding to the one or more conditional parameters. The device may compare the one or more execution parameters and the one or more conditional parameters. The device may determine that the condition is satisfied based on comparing the one or more execution parameters and the one or more conditional parameters. The device may perform an action, in association with the program, based on determining that the condition is satisfied.

Performing an action during program execution based on a dynamic condition

A device receives a video file with technical computing environment information, and the video file displays interaction with a technical computing environment. The device plays the video file, and receives the technical computing environment information from the video file when the video file is playing. The device provides the technical computing device information to a local technical computing environment associated with the device.

Enriched video for a technical computing environment

A computing device may receive a request to create a link between a control mechanism of a human machine interface and an attribute of a model. The model, when executed, may simulate behavior of a system. The human machine interface may correspond to a physical object. The request may include information identifying the attribute and information identifying the control mechanism. The computing device may create a link between the control mechanism and the attribute based on receiving the request. The computing device may further observe the control mechanism in a spatial environment and detect that the control mechanism has changed based on observing the control mechanism. The computing device may modify a value, associated with the attribute, based on detecting that the control mechanism has changed and based on the link.

Generic human machine interface for a graphical model

A device may include a processor and a memory. The processor may receive a request to link a model element, of a model, and a spatial element. The model, when executed, simulates behavior of a system, and the spatial element is a physical object or an object that is rendered for display in two or more dimensions. The processor may further receive information identifying the model element, receive information identifying the spatial element, and create a link between the identified model element and the identified spatial element based on the received request. The link may allow at least one of the model element to be identified based on identification of the spatial element, or the spatial element to be identified based on identification of the model element. The memory may store the link.

Linking of model elements to spatial elements

A device may provide, for display by a technical computing environment (TCE), a group of model elements of a model. The model, when executed, may simulate behavior of a system. The group of model elements may correspond to a group of physical elements of the system. The device may further detect interaction with a three-dimensional (3D) structure located within a spatial environment. The 3D structure may correspond to one or more physical elements of the group of physical elements of the system. The device may further cause the TCE to modify the model based on the detected interaction.

Interacting with a model via a three-dimensional (3D) spatial environment

In an embodiment, a method of binding a human machine interface to an expression of existing computer code may include analyzing the existing computer code to identify one or more bindable expressions in the existing computer code, and receiving a command to bind a human machine interface with one or more of the identified bindable expressions. The method may further include binding, using a processor, one or more of the bindable expressions with the human machine interface in response to the command. The binding may enable the human machine interface to communicate information within the existing computer code in place of the one or more bound expressions. The bound machine interface may communicate information within the computer code while the computer code is executing.

Method and system for binding graphical interfaces to textual code

In an embodiment, a mechanism for visualizing a graphical model in three dimensions is discussed. An executable graphical model is obtained that includes a hierarchy of model levels that include a top level. The hierarchy includes multiple components. A three-dimensional (3D) view of the graphical model is displayed that provides views of a first and second component at a first and second depth. A graphical indicator is generated in the view of the top level of the graphical model that is associated with the first component and also generated in the view of the second component. A control alters a user perspective of a view that includes at least one of the components in the graphical model.

Three-dimensional visualization

A system may receive a model, extract information from the model, form a group of tags using the extracted information, and associate the group of tags with the model. The system may further receive a search query including one or more sequences of characters and determine whether to provide the model in a list of models created for the search query, based on the one or more sequences of characters and the group of tags.

Collaborative modeling environment

One aspect relates to saving and retrieving view-specific information that facilitates views to be saved and retrieved within an interface of a computer system. View-relevant information associated with a visual context of the computer system is saved in memory or other medium, allowing the information to be retrieved in an easy manner. In one embodiment, a computer system displays a thumbnail representation of a specific graphical view, and permits the user to select the representation, causing the system to navigate to the specific graphical view. In this way, the visual context of the computer system can be restored.

Method and apparatus for performing viewmarking

A computer-implemented modeling system comprising a storage medium, an interface, an output device, and a processor. The storage medium to store executable instructions for providing a modeling environment using the system, the modeling environment supporting model development. The interface to receive an input instruction and create an executable instruction, where the user interaction represents the input instruction and instructs the modeling environment to perform one or more of: an analyzing operation, an editing operation, or a navigating operation. The output device to output at least one of: a tactile output representing tactile feedback, or a haptic output representing haptic feedback; and a processor to execute the executable instructions to provide the modeling environment, process the executable instruction using the modeling environment, and generate an output instruction, where the output instruction is used by an output device for generating the tactile output or the haptic output.

User interface for a modeling environment

A computing device may obtain a model that, when executed, simulates behavior of a dynamic system. The model may include a set of model elements that correspond to one or more physical elements associated with the dynamic system. The computing device may receive, based on obtaining the model, a request to generate a spatial representation associated with a physical element; generate a tag that includes a string of characters; associate the tag with a model element that corresponds to the physical element; cause, based on the tag and information associated with the physical element, the physical structure to be generated in a manner that includes the tag; receive the tag; and cause the model element to be displayed based on receiving the tag.

Generating a three-dimensional (3D) report, associated with a model, from a technical computing environment (TCE)

In one embodiment, a method for displaying elements of an attribute in an executable block diagram model is provided. The method may include displaying an executable block diagram model in a first window and receiving a first input from an input device, wherein the first input associates with a first parameter of a block diagram modeling component in the executable block diagram model, the first parameter is represented in the executable block diagram model by a first graphical affordances. The method may include triggering the display of a value of a first parameter in a first user interface widget in the first window.
