The disclosure is directed to a device for electroporating and delivering one or more antigens and a method of electroporating and delivering one or more antigens to cells of epidermal tissues using the device. The device comprises a housing, a plurality of electrode arrays projecting from the housing, each electrode array including at least one electrode, a pulse generator electrically coupled to the electrodes, a programmable microcontroller electrically coupled to the pulse generator, and an electrical power source coupled to the pulse generator and the microcontroller. The electrode arrays define spatially separate sites.

Minimally invasive dermal electroporation device

A device for electroporating cells of a mammalian mucosal membrane includes a housing, an electrode microneedle plate, a voltage return electrode coupled to the housing, and an energy source. The energy source is configured to generate and deliver through the electrode microneedle plate and the voltage return electrode at least one pulse of electrical energy having an electric potential sufficient to electroporate the cells. The electrode microneedle plate is configured to provide an even distribution of a pharmaceutical formulation from the housing and to the mucosal membrane. The electrode microneedle plate includes a plurality of microneedles that are configured to contact the mucosal membrane, deliver the pharmaceutical formulation to a specific depth, and deliver the at least one pulse of ergy to the cells.

Oral mucosal electroporation device and use thereof

A jet injection and electroporation device for use with an agent cartridge defining a volume containing a pre-measured dose of agent therein, the electroporation device including a housing having an axis extend therethrough, a nozzle at least partially positioned within the housing, and a cavity sized to receive at least a portion of the agent cartridge therein. The device also includes an array having a plurality of electrodes extending therefrom, a propulsion cartridge configured to operatively engage the cartridge when the agent cartridge is positioned within the cavity; and a power supply in electrical communication with the array.

A method of treating scoliosis in a subject includes securing a scoliosis treatment device to first and second locations on the subject's skeletal system, the scoliosis treatment device including a first portion, a second portion moveably mounted relative to the first portion, and an adjustment device disposed on the device and configured to change a distraction force between the first location and the second location, the adjustment device including a rotationally mounted magnetic element configured to move the second portion relative to the first portion in response to rotation of the magnetic element. An external adjustment device is provided external to the subject and is able to adjust the distraction force between the first location and second location.

Skeletal manipulation method

A system includes an adjustable implant configured for implantation internally within a subject and includes a permanent magnet configured for rotation about an axis of rotation, the permanent magnet operatively coupled to a drive transmission configured to alter a dimension of the adjustable implant. The system includes an external adjustment device configured for placement on or adjacent to the skin of the subject having at least one magnet configured for rotation, the external adjustment device further comprising a motor configured to rotate the at least one magnet and an encoder. Rotation of the at least one magnet of the external adjustment device effectuates rotational movement of the permanent magnet of the adjustable implant and alters the dimension of the adjustable implant. Drive control circuitry is configured to receive an input signal from the encoder.
