Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and devices for implementing a heads-up display (HUD) that is viewable in conditions where a viewer is wearing a p-polarized eyewear, eyewear polarized between s-polarized and p-polarized, or not. Thus, employing the aspects disclosed herein, a viewer may realize all the benefits of a HUD implementation (for example, one implemented via a vehicle), while realizing all the benefits of wearing polarized eyewear.

Adjusting a head-up display (HUD) based on polarization

A method of operating a touch assembly having a touch surface, a haptic feedback device and a switch is provided. The method includes activating the haptic feedback device in response to the switch deactivating. The method also includes monitoring and adjusting the monitoring of the switch in response to the switch deactivating to prevent continued deactivation of the switch by the haptic feedback. A method of operating a touch assembly having a touch surface, a base, a haptic feedback device and a switch is also provided. The method includes sensing the location of a touch force on the touch surface and deactivating a switch in response to the touch force moving the touch surface relative to the base. The method proceeds with transmitting a signal only in response to the location of the touch force being sensed and the at least one switch being in the deactivated configuration.

Touch surface and microprocessor assembly

A touch assembly is provided including a touch surface for receiving a touch force. At least one haptic feedback device is coupled to the touch surface for selectively vibrating the touch surface. At least one switch is operably coupled with the touch surface and is adjustable between an activated configuration and a deactivated configuration. At least one microprocessor is in electrical communication with the at least one haptic feedback device and the at least one switch for actuating the at least one haptic feedback device in response to the at least one switch adjusting from the activated configuration to the deactivated configuration.

A method of enhanced compression rate for a multi-disc CD player includes the step of determining a last data position on a CD being played by the CD player. The method also includes the steps of determining a last playable data position and whether the last playable data position is being played. The method further includes the steps of storing data in a buffer memory at a compressed rate if the last playable data position is being played and playing the data from the buffer memory while transitioning to a next CD to be played.

Method of enhanced compression rate for a multi-disc CD player

A method of enhanced data compression rate for a CD player includes the steps of determining whether a skip is detected and setting a timer to a predetermined skip time-out period if a skip is detected. The method also includes the steps of determining whether another skip is detected during the skip time-out period, storing data from a compact disc at a predetermined compressed rate into a buffer memory if another skip is detected, and playing data at a playing rate from the buffer memory.
