In a system for video data capture and sharing client devices may include one or more video cameras and sensors to capture video data and to generate associated metadata. A cloud-based component may receive metadata from the client devices and requests for sharing video data captured by other client devices. Client devices with requested video data are identified by matching their provided metadata to the sharing request and by their response to an image search query for an object of interest specified in the request.

Described herein are single-use or limited-use TES apparatuses and methods of using them that include an integrated (e.g., flex-circuit) electrode assembly and controller apparatus including a waveform generator and power supply. Apparatuses and methods for neuromodulation

Neurostimulators for application of transdermal electrical stimulation (TES) and methods of using them for comfortably inducing a cognitive effect. The apparatuses described herein may include hardware, software and/or firmware components that are configured to safely and effectively apply high current intensity (e.g., using a high voltage source). These apparatuses may also include circuitry configured to deliver complex (e.g., ensemble) TES current waveforms that incorporate capacitive discharge current at selected portions of the delivered waveform to enhance user comfort. Methods of operating these devices to reduce capacitance buildup on the user's skin by delivering integrated capacitive discharging currents are also included.

Methods and apparatuses for controlling a wearable neurostimulator from a control apparatus. Described herein are methods and apparatuses for controlling the application of ensemble waveforms using a transdermal electrical stimulation by a neurostimulator having a processor. The controller may provide specifically configured commands to efficiently and accurately control the delivery of an ensemble waveform by the neurostimulator, wherein the ensemble waveform includes a sequence of component biphasic current waveforms in which one or more parameters (such as frequency, current amplitude, percent duty cycle, and percent charge imbalance) vary between sequential component waveforms particularly effective at evoking a desired cognitive state by TES.

Methods and apparatuses for control of a wearable transdermal neurostimulator to apply ensemble waveforms

Neurostimulator apparatuses for applying transdermal electrical stimulation that may be comfortably and securely worn on a variety of head shapes and sizes. The apparatuses and methods of using them described herein may be lightweight and wearable and configured to be attached at one end of a patient-facing surface of the apparatus by a cantilevered attachment so that an opposite end of the surface is free to float relative to the user's head. The cantilevered attachment may include two or more connectors spaced apart along an edge region of the patient-facing surface in an optimal arrangement to secure the neurostimulator in place. The neurostimulator apparatuses described herein may be secured to a separate or integral electrode assembly that may adhesively secure to the subject's head. The patient-facing surface of the neurostimulator may also be curved and twisted specifically for use at the temple/forehead region of a diverse population of potential users.

Wearable transdermal neurostimulator having cantilevered attachment

Methods for attaching a wearable neurostimulator to a user's head (or head and neck) using a cantilever electrode apparatuses for neuromodulation. In practice an electrode assembly may mate with the wearable neuromodulation devices so that the device is worn over one portion of the electrode assembly while the rest of the electrode assembly attaches to another portion of the body. The neuromodulator may be worn on a portion of the electrode assembly in a cantilevered manner (e.g., held at one end while the opposite end is free-floating), which allows the rigid neuromodulation device to conform to a variety of user head sizes and shapes.

Systems and methods for enhanced media playback are disclosed. According to one aspect, during media playback, auxiliary (or secondary) media can be integrated with primary media. For example, an electronic device offering media playback can not only play back media item data but can also play back other auxiliary media data. In one implementation, presentation of a media group can involve not only presentation of media items of the media group but also presentation of auxiliary media. Another aspect pertains to how and when auxiliary media data is to be presented (e.g., played) by an electronic device. Another aspect pertains to updating or refreshing auxiliary media data. Still another aspect pertains to restricting presentation of primary media by an electronic device unless auxiliary data is also presented.

System and method for enhanced media playback

When unauthorized use of a device is suspected, a recharging mechanism (e.g., recharge-circuit) of the device is disabled in order to guard against extended unauthorized use of the device. The recharging mechanism normally recharges the rechargeable-power-supply that powers the device. Consequently, normal use and enjoyment of the device can be significantly reduced by disabling the rechager. Moreover, for devices that are mainly powered by a rechargeable-power-supply (e.g., music-players, phones, Personal Digital Assistants), disabling the recharger effectively renders the device inoperable when the power of the main power-supply has run out. As such, disabling the recharger should serve as a deterrent to theft.

Protecting electronic devices from extended unauthorized use

A video conferencing system having video and/or audio capture device for video and audio communications is disclosed. The video and audio capture device may include one or more switches for securely activating and deactivating the device. Furthermore, an indicator may be hard-wired to the video and/or audio components so to provide a true indication of when these components are on and off. The video and audio capture device may also be integrated into a single unit.

Video conferencing apparatus and method

A method and an apparatus for contacting a touch-sensitive cursor-controlling input device to generate button values simulating the button state of a mechanical button switch. This method and apparatus enable an operator to utilize the touch-sensitive cursor-controlling input device to change the value of a ButtonState variable (which simulates the ButtonState of a mechanical button switch) by (1) detecting contact intervals when the user contacts the touch-sensitive input device, (2) detecting gap intervals between subsequent contact intervals, and (3) moving the cursor on the display screen and changing the value of the ButtonState variable based on the duration of the contact and gap intervals. In turn, this button generation capability enables an operator to perform with a single touch-sensitive input device numerous control operations, such as cursor manipulation, click, multi-click, drag, click-and-drag, and multi-click-and-drag operations.
