In one aspect, a method of detecting database anomalies, includes reading historical data in a destination database at an end of a data pipeline, determining bounds including an upper bound and a lower bound based on the read historical data, reading current data for a first specified time period in the destination database, responsive to determining the upper or the lower bound is exceeded, determining database transactions that caused the exceeding, and transmitting alerts to owners of the database transactions.

Database anomaly detection

Pathogenic fungi from the genuscause damage to a diverse array of economically important plant species. The present disclosure provides methods of determining whether a plant is susceptible to pathogenic fungi infections. The disclosure further provides methods of engineering pathogenic fungi-resistant plants from susceptible plants using targeted genome editing techniques.

Methods of identifying and modulating pathogen resistance in plants

An improvement to a graphical user interface disposed within a display includes a functional scrollbar, a magnifier disposed on the functional scrollbar to enhance the view of the functional scrollbar, and a filter for selecting attributes of data within a data file. The functional scrollbar includes two parts, one that has a plurality of portions indicative of content of the data file shown on the display and one that has a plurality of portions indicative of content of the data file not shown on the display. The two parts of the scrollbar include portions indicative of content within the data file that matches the filter selection. A system for generating a functional scrollbar is also described and claimed.

A technique for generating pushdown data comprises performing logical pushdown of circuit elements and nets and detecting physical pushdown based on partition boundary crossings. A method for fabricating a light emitting device includes forming a trench in a first surface on first side of a substrate. The trench comprises a first sloped surface not parallel to the first surface, wherein the substrate has a second surface opposite to the first surface of the substrate. The method also includes forming alight emission layer over the first trench surface, but not over the remainder of the first substrate surface, and removing at least a portion of the substrate from the second side of the substrate to expose the light emission layer and allow it to emit light out of the protrusion or protrusions on the second side of the substrate. These protrusions may be elongated pyramids.

Manufacturing process for solid state lighting device on a conductive substrate

A light emitting device includes a silicon substrate having a (100) upper surface. The (100) upper surface has a recess, the recess being defined in part by (111) surfaces of the silicon substrate. The light emitting device includes a GaN crystal structure over one of the (111) surfaces which has a non-polar plane and a first surface along the non-polar plane. Light emission layers over the first surface have at least one quantum well comprising GaN.

A method for fabricating a light emitting device includes forming a trench in a first surface on a first side of a substrate. The trench comprises a first sloped surface not parallel to the first surface, wherein the substrate has a second side opposite to the first side of the substrate. The method also includes forming light emission layers over the first trench surface and the first surface, wherein the light emission layer is configured to emit light and removing at least a portion of the substrate from the second side of the substrate to form a protrusion on the second side of the substrate to allow the light emission layer to emit light out of the protrusion on the second side of the substrate.

A light emitting device includes a silicon substrate comprising a (111) surface and a GaN crystal structure over the (111) surface of the silicon substrate. The GaN crystal structure includes a first surface along a semi-polar plane of the GaN crystal structure and a second surface along a polar plane of the GaN crystal structure. The light emitting device also includes light emission layers over the first surface of the GaN crystal structure. The light emission layers include at least one quantum well comprising GaN.

The present invention provides a method for hyperlink parking and searching. A user pre-defined search criteria is formed by adding, deleting, or modifying a search criteria that includes at least one search term. A universal resource Locator (URL) is obtained by parking a cursor on a hyperlink displayed on the current viewing computer screen, and, in response to parking the cursor on the hyperlink, an Internet connection with the URL is established. If the parked-on hyperlink is linkable and displayable, then a second indication is displayed on the current viewing computer screen, a web page associated with the URL is imported and searched with the user pre-defined search criteria to determine a number of matches for each search term, and each search term and a number of matches for each search term is displayed on the current viewing computer screen. Otherwise, a first indication is displayed on the current viewing computer screen.

Hyperlink park and search

An electronic transaction system, which facilitates secure electronic transactions among multiple parties including cardholders, merchants, and service providers (SP). The system involves electronic cards, commonly known as smart cards, and their equivalent computer software package. The card mimics a real wallet and contains commonly seen financial or non-financial instruments such as a credit card, checkbook, or driver license. A transaction is protected by a hybrid key cryptographic system and is normally carried out on a public network such as the Internet. Digital signatures and challenges-responses are used to ensure integrity and authenticity. The card utilizes secret keys such as session keys assigned by service providers (SPs) to ensure privacy for each transaction. The SP is solely responsible for validating each participant's sensitive information and assigning session keys. The system does not seek to establish a trust relationship between two participants of a transaction. The only trust relationship needed in a transaction is the one that exists between individual participants and the SP. The trust relationship with a participant is established when the SP has received and validated certain established account information from that particular participant. To start a transaction with a selected SP, a participant must have the public key of the intended SP. Since the public key is openly available, its availability can be easily established by the cardholder. The SP also acts as a gateway for the participants when a transaction involves interaction with external systems.

Cryptographic system and method for electronic transactions

A rain cover 10 prevents leaves and other debris from plugging a conventional gutter G, while rain water from the roof of a building is transmitted to the gutter by surface tension. The cover includes a main plate 14 inclined for allowing water and debris to pass by gravity from an upper portion 30 to a lower portion 32. A front portion 16 of each of a plurality of traversely spaced fins 14 extend laterally beyond an outer wall of the gutter. Pairs of adjacent fins 14 are separated by a uniform traverse gap of less than 0.05 inches to significantly increase the return of water to the gutter by surface tension with the fin walls. The cover may be economically manufactured from plastic or metal, and may be easily installed on an existing gutter system. The separation device of the present invention may be used in other applications to separate solid debris from a fluid.
