An object-sorting apparatus includes a vibration base that includes a vibration element. The object-sorting apparatus also includes a plurality of stages stackable on the vibration base, wherein at least one of the stages includes walls defining a central opening, and a sorting floor that cooperates with the walls to form a receptacle. The sorting floor includes a plurality of apertures defined in and extending through the sorting floor and into flow communication through the central opening with a next lower one of the plurality of stages. The apertures of the at least one stage are sized to receive therethrough objects having a size smaller than a target size associated with the at least one stage.

Vibratory object-sorting apparatus

An object-sorting apparatus includes a housing that extends from a top end to a bottom end, at least one vibration element, and a plurality of stages arranged in a vertical sequence in the housing between the top end and the bottom end. At least one of the stages includes a sorting base that at least partially defines a floor of the at least one stage. The sorting base is coupled to the at least one vibration element, and is configured to receive thereon a mixture of objects having different sizes, including a target size associated with the at least one stage. The stage also includes apertures defined in and extending through the sorting base and into flow communication with a next lower stage. The apertures are sized to receive therethrough, from the mixture, objects having a size smaller than the target size associated with the at least one stage.

Automated object-sorting apparatus

A self-propelled object-gathering apparatus includes a chassis, a drive system coupled to the chassis and configured to traverse the apparatus over a surface, and a receptacle coupled to the chassis. The apparatus also includes a sweep assembly coupled to the chassis and rotatable with respect to the chassis. The sweep assembly is configured to transfer objects from the surface into the receptacle by mechanical action on the objects, and without the use of negative pressure or vacuum suction acting on the objects during the transfer, in response to rotation of the sweep assembly.

Object-gathering apparatus

A self-propelled object-gathering apparatus includes a chassis, a drive system coupled to the chassis and configured to traverse the apparatus over a surface, and a control system coupled to the chassis. The control system is programmed to detect a bounded operational area, and to guide the apparatus within the bounded operational area. The apparatus also includes a receptacle coupled to the chassis, and a sweep assembly coupled to the chassis and rotatable with respect to the chassis. The sweep assembly is configured to transfer objects from the surface into the receptacle by mechanical action on the objects in response to rotation of the sweep assembly.

Among other things, a digitally controlled actuator has a connector for coupling to a drive mechanism of an existing hand-driven cartridge reloader, to actuate a series of processing cycles of the reloader in which supplies of components are subjected to successive mechanical processing steps to produce reloaded cartridges ready for use. There are sensors associated with the actuator and the reloader to (a) acquire digital information that is indicative of a state of progress of each of the processing cycles and of conditions of the reloader related to the production of the reloaded cartridges, and (b) deliver the digital information to a digital controller for controlling the processing cycles of the reloader. The digital controller is connected to receive the digital information from the sensors and to control automatic operation of the reloader in successive processing cycles to produce reloaded cartridges without requiring human intervention.

Cartridge reloading improvements

Models are generated using a variety of tools and features of a model generation platform. For example, in connection with a project in which a user generates a predictive model based on historical data about a system being modeled, the user is provided through a graphical user interface a structured sequence of model generation activities to be followed, the sequence including dimension reduction, model generation, model process validation, and model re-generation. In connection with a project in which a user generates a predictive model based on historical data about a system being modeled, and in which the project includes a series of user choice points and actions or parameter settings that govern the generation of the model based on rules, which direct the user to select and apply an optimal model.

Predictor variable selection and dimensionality reduction for a predictive model

Models are generated using a variety of tools and features of a model generation platform. For example, in connection with a project in which a user generates a predictive model based on historical data about a system being modeled, the user is provided through a graphical user interface a structured sequence of model generation activities to be followed, the sequence including dimension reduction, model generation, model process validation, and model re-generation. Historical multi-dimensional data is received representing multiple variables transformed to be maximally predictive for at least one outcome variable to be used as an input to a predictive model of a commercial system, model development process is validated for at one or more sets of such variables and enabling a user of a model generation tool to combine at least two of the variables from the sets of variables.

Predictive model generation

Models are generated using a variety of tools and features of a model generation platform. For example, in connection with a project in which a user generates a predictive model based on historical data about a system being modeled, the user is provided through a graphical user interface a structured sequence of model generation activities to be followed, the sequence including dimension reduction, model generation, model process validation, and model re-generation. In connection with a process in which a user generates a collection of predictive models or an aggregate predictive model based on historical data about a system being modeled, profiles of aggregate targets are generated based on key contributory variables.
