A system and method for building an event location database to identify and manage information pertaining to 'unknown unknowns' such as events and host locations with no online presence and locations that never host any events, the system building the event location database by cataloging locations that host events and locations that do not host events, and subsequently cataloging events so that when the system receives input georeferenced discrete locations and subsequently metadata about their events, the system develops a more complete list of which locations have events that were previously unknown to potential event attendees.

Event and location tracking and management system and method

A network resource, such as a page, may be loaded or rendered in different manners on a plurality of different browsers. Data and information regarding the loading and/or rendering of various network resources on a variety of browsers, including data or information regarding errors, latencies or customer ratings of the loading or rendering of such resources on such browsers, may be evaluated in order to identify the most appropriate browser for viewing a requested network resource. If that network resource is available to a user who requests the network resource, then a recommendation or an instruction to view the network resource in the most appropriate browser may be provided to the user.

Template-driven data access is enabled. A collection of data model component identifiers that are accessible for use by view developers may be established. View developers may specify views of the data model with a view description language and may utilize accessible data model component identifiers to reference data model components that may be rendered in the views. The views may be in accordance with a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. In contrast to a conventional MVC architecture, changes to a view do not require changes to a corresponding controller. For example, view developers may create, update, modify and delete views independent of the activity of controller developers. Disclosed are various embodiments for translation of speech in a video messaging application. A segment of streaming video is decoded to separate the visual component from the audio component. The audio component is then converted to text, which may then be translated and converted to a translation output comprising a new language. In response, the translation output may be encoded with the previously separated visual component. A delay is imposed on the visual component to account for any delays that may arise in translation. The translated video may then be streamed to participants giving the appearance of real-time video conferencing.

Systems and methods for checking the consistency of established facts within internal works according to the present disclosure operate by identifying established facts within the internal works and determining whether any of the established facts are contradictory to one another. Facts may be established and conflicts may be identified by any means, such as by determining associations between words of the internal work, or by consulting one or more external resources. If a contradiction between established facts is identified, then an author of the internal work or other user may be notified, and a change to the internal work may be recommended to the author or user, or requested from the author or user.

Techniques for driving higher quality of code may be provided. For example, code may be received for hosting on a computing resource. A computing service may be implemented to analyze the code prior to the hosting. The analysis may include assessing components of the code against criteria associated with code performance. Based on the analysis, the computing service may determine a quality of the code, provide recommended changes to the code that may improve the quality, and identify a proper computing resource for hosting the code at the quality.

Conversion of a network site from a particular network site development platform to a different network site development platform may be facilitated by a network site conversion service. The merchant may provide the network site conversion service with a uniform resource locator that references a home document of the network site. The network site conversion service may traverse the source network site to determine the source network site's internal structure. The collected data may be analyzed. For example, aspects of the source network site may be mapped to components of the destination network site development platform. A converted network site may be generated based on the analysis. For example, the aspects of the source network site having mappings to the components of the destination network site development platform may be implemented with those components in the converted network site. The converted network site may then be published.

Depending on the classification of the web service, support resources (e.g. servers, storage, bandwidth or other communications resources, etc.) may be configured in different ways, such as, for example, sharing resources among one or more of the web services, or isolating the resources for particular web services from those of other web services. Various electronic storefronts may be provided by a service provider to merchants/customers of the service provider. The service provider may classify each of the electronic storefronts for the merchants to a plurality of tiers. Systems and methods for detecting and preventing spam content attempted to be sent from a sender account may be provided. In an embodiment, a system can determine if a user's electronic service has been compromised based on analyzing electronic messages attempted to be sent by the electronic service. For example, the system can calculate a score for the electronic messages utilizing a spam detection algorithm where the score represents the probability that the message contains spam content. The system can prevent the communication of electronic messages upon a determination that the electronic service has been compromised. The system can request authentication information from the user before further communication is allowed from the compromised electronic service.

Client-side spam detection and prevention

Techniques for transmitting data to an entity may be provided. In particular, a location of a data file (e.g., image, text, multimedia file, document, blog entry, identifying user information) can be provided to a location of a transitive file storage device for the entity to retrieve, instead of providing the data file directly to the entity. The entity can then provide the data file to users (e.g., via a hosted network page) and/or provide the data file to a service provider along with code to enable the service provider to provide the data file to users.

Disclosed are various embodiments for translation of speech in a video messaging application. At least one computing device is employed to access a data stream received from a transmitting computing device, where the data stream comprises an audio signal embodying a first language and a video signal. The at least one computing device performs a translation of the audio signal embodying the first language to a translation output embodying a second language and determines a delay indicative of a time needed to perform the translation. The translation output is associated with the video signal after the delay. The at least one computing device determines whether a predefined amount of the audio signal embodying the first language has been translated to the translation output embodying the second language and causes the video signal and the translation output to be communicated to a receiving computing device in association with the delay in response to the predefined amount of the audio signal embodying the first language being translated.
