A network node and a method performed thereby for controlling operation of a low power node are provided. The network node and the low power node are operable in a wireless communication network, wherein the low power node has at least two modes of operation, an active mode where the low power node is in full operation, and a passive mode where the low power node is discoverable by wireless devices in the network but not available for initial access or incoming handovers. The method comprises receiving () a measurement report from at least one wireless device, the measurement report comprising a measurement related to the low power node; and determining () the operation mode of the low power node based on the received measurement report. There is provided a method and corresponding network node for handling TTI bundling in a radio communication system. The method comprises the steps of obtaining (S) frequency-selective channel quality information for at least one User Equipment (UE), and determining (S) whether TTI bundling should be enabled or disabled for the UE(s) based on the frequency-selective channel quality information. By using frequency-selective channel quality information, more accurate decisions of whether TTI bundling should be enabled or disabled can be made, thus leading to more efficient resource utilization.

Triggering of transmission time interval bundling based on frequency selective channel quality information in a radio communication system

A method in a base station for handling sector selection is provided. A wireless terminal is connected to a first sector comprised in a combined cell. When a quality of the communication resources in the first sector is below a first threshold, the base station determines that the first sector is no longer the best sector for the wireless terminal. Then the base station sends an order to the wireless terminal to initiate a random access procedure in the combined cell. The base station then selects a second sector in the combined cell based on measurements of signal strength of random access preambles received from the wireless terminal in each respective sector in the combined cell. The random access preambles are received from the wireless terminal in the initiated random access procedure. The second sector is selected for the wireless terminal to communicate in.

The present disclosure provides coordination of assignments for the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a multi-sector cell based on reuse of CCE resources to user equipment (UE) in different sectors that are well isolated from each other. A determination is then made whether an updated CSI is due to be reported during the retrieved SDT, and, radio resources to the UE are scheduled based on a result from the determination whether an updated CSI is due to be reported during the retrieved SDT weight for being scheduled in downlink. UE Channel State Information (CSI) is retrieved and a determination is made whether the retrieved CSI is unreliable, and when unreliable, retrieving a Scheduling Delay Time (SDT) representing a time for which the network node is allowed to delay a scheduling of radio resources to the UE. A determination is then made whether an updated CSI is due to be reported during the retrieved SDT, and, radio resources to the UE are scheduled based on a result from the determination whether an updated CSI is due to be reported during the retrieved SDT.

The base station selects a DRX scheme with active periods that are separated in time from active periods of a DRX scheme used for UEs in DRX mode in a neighboring second cell (). The base station selects a first frequency band and a second frequency band. A method and arrangement for retransmission control. A method in a sending system entity for controlling retransmissions of data to a sending system entity is provided. Initial data encoded with a first forward error correction code is sentto the receiving system entity. When transmitted initial data is determined to be affected by errors at the receiving system entity, the sending system entity receivesa request to retransmit the initial data combinedby new data encoded with a second forward error correction code in a combined data stream which is encodedwith a third forward error correction code before being sentto the receiving system entity. By combining initial data and encoded new data in a combined data stream when resending, an effective and flexible procedure for retransmissions is achieved, which doesn't introduce any substantial delay of the data.
