The disclosed system may include a support structure having a top portion and a first bottom portion. The system may also include at least one wireless communication device positioned on the top portion of the support structure. The system may further include at least one antenna positioned in the first bottom portion of the support structure. The antenna in the first bottom portion of the support structure may be electrically connected to the wireless communication device positioned on the top portion of the support structure. Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for cross-coupling modeling and compensation. An example method can include determining one or more cross-coupling coefficients representing electrical cross-coupling between a first signal path through a component and a second signal path through the component; based on the one or more cross-coupling coefficients, determining a first modified beamforming weight for a first signal associated with the first signal path through the component and a second modified beamforming weight for a second signal associated with the second signal path through the component, wherein the first and second modified beamforming weights compensate for the electrical cross-coupling between the first signal path through the component and the second signal path through the component; applying the first modified beamforming weight to the first signal associated with the first signal path; and applying the second modified beamforming weight to the second signal associated with the second signal path.

An apparatus includes a plurality of conductive structures having first sides and second sides opposite the first sides, wherein the second sides of the plurality of conductive structures are configured to be physically coupleable with a printed circuit board (PCB) of a receiver, a transmitter, or a transceiver. The first sides of the plurality of conductive structures are configured to be spaced from the PCB by a first distance when the plurality of conductive structures is physically coupled with the PCB. The apparatus includes an antenna having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The second side of the antenna is disposed closer to the plurality of conductive structures than the first side of the antenna when the plurality of conductive structures is physically coupled with the PCB.

In some embodiments, a phased array antenna system includes a carrier having a first side and a second side opposite the first side; a first antenna element and a second antenna element coupled to the first side of the carrier, the second antenna element spaced apart from the first antenna element by a space and a signal conditioning module including a support structure having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, one or more signal conditioning elements coupled to the first side of the support structure, and a plurality of coupling elements coupled to the second side of the support structure, wherein at least one of the plurality of coupling elements electrically couples the signal conditioning module to the first antenna element; and at least another of the plurality of coupling elements electrically couples the signal conditioning module to the carrier.

In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a first layer having a first plurality of electrically conductive traces comprising a first portion of a plurality of hierarchical networks; a second layer having a second plurality of electrically conductive traces comprising a second portion of the plurality of hierarchical networks; and a plurality of vias electrically connecting the first plurality of electrically conductive traces of the first layer to the respective second plurality of electrically conductive traces of the second layer to define the plurality of hierarchical networks. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a phased array antenna system includes a first portion carrying an antenna lattice including a plurality of antenna elements, wherein the plurality of antenna elements are arranged in a first configuration, and a second portion carrying a beamformer lattice including a plurality of beamformer elements, wherein the plurality of beamformer elements are arranged in a second configuration different from the first configuration, wherein each of the plurality of antenna elements are electrically coupled to one of the plurality of beamformer elements.

In some embodiments, a phased array antenna includes a carrier; a first plurality of antenna elements carried by the carrier and configured to transmit and/or receive signals at a first value of a parameter, and a second plurality of antenna elements carried by the carrier and configured to transmit and/or receive signals at a second value of the parameter different from the first value of the parameter. The antenna elements of the first plurality of antenna elements and the second plurality of antenna elements are located within a common aperture of the phased array antenna.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for cross-coupling modeling and compensation. An example method can include determining one or more cross-coupling coefficients representing electrical cross-coupling within a component of a phased array antenna, wherein the component of the phased array antenna includes one or more signal paths between one or more beamformers of the phased array antenna and a set of antenna elements of the phased array antenna; based on the one or more cross-coupling coefficients, modifying one or more beamforming weights calculated for one or more signals routed via the one or more signal paths, wherein the modified one or more beamforming weights compensate for the electrical cross-coupling effect within the component of the phased array antenna; and applying, by the one or more beamformers, the modified one or more beamforming weights to the one or more signals routed via the one or more signal paths.

In some embodiments, a phased array antenna, includes a plurality of antenna modules arranged in an antenna lattice configuration to form the phased array antenna, wherein an antenna module of the plurality of antenna modules includes an antenna element packaged together with an amplifier.
